He was a Swedish diplomat who saved tens of thousands of Jews from the Holocaust.
His civil courage and acts of solidarity remind us of the importance of combatting antisemitism and racism.

We honour his memory today on Raoul Wallenberg Day.

Bullying is never okay. And a new school year should never have to be a source of dread. 💔 In Sweden, schools are required by law to prevent bullying.
How it's done is up to each school – there are many different methods to prevent bullying. One of the best-known approaches is the brainchild of a Swedish–Norwegian professor of psychology, Dan Olweus.
The first to study school bullying systematically in the early 1970s, Olweus came to an important conclusion: bullying is not just a conflict between schoolchildren,. It is a problem of the whole school environment. This led to the creation of the Olweus programme, which is based on a simple main idea: adults are responsible for children’s safety at school.
🚸 Teachers learn to notice warning signs earlier, discuss rules of communication with students, involve parents and intervene before a situation becomes dangerous.
Schools in Iceland, Germany, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and the US have implemented the Olweus programme.
🏫 As of 1 August 2026, Swedish law clarifies that all school staff share responsibility for preventing abusive treatment of schoolchildren and students.

اليوم لعالمي للعمل الإنساني

يحتاج أكثر من 300 مليون شخص حول العالم إلى المساعدة الإنسانية. ولا يمكننا أن نقبل بأن يصبح هذا واقعاً طبيعياً جديداً. فخلف كل رقم إنسان يحتاج إلى الغذاء أو المياه أو المأوى أو الرعاية الصحية أو الحماية.
وفي الوقت نفسه، تستمر الفجوة بين الاحتياجات الإنسانية والتمويل المتاح في الاتساع.
تُعد السويد من أبرز الجهات المانحة للمساعدات الإنسانية، وتقع على عاتقنا مسؤولية استخدام هذا الدور لإحداث فرق حقيقي علي الأرض.

تعمل الحكومة السويدية على تضييق الفجوة بين الاحتياجات والتمويل، وإشراك المزيد من الجهات في العمل الإنساني، وتعزيز النظام الإنساني لضمان وصول المساعدات إلى الأشخاص الأكثر احتياجاً.

لأنه عندما تتفاقم الأزمات، لا ينبغي أن يتراجع التضامن.

Today is World Humanitarian Day.

Over 300 million people need humanitarian assistance. Behind every number is a person in need of food, water, shelter, healthcare or protection.

At the same time, the gap between needs and funding continues to expand.

Sweden is a leading humanitarian donor. We have a responsibility to use this position to make a difference.

The Swedish Government is working to narrow the gap between needs and funding, engage more actors in humanitarian assistance and strengthen the humanitarian system to make sure the assistance reaches those most in need.

Because when crises grow, solidarity cannot shrink.
