MASHAV Carmel Training Center Entrepreneurship and Innovation | Community Development | Early Childhood Education | Gender Equality Who are we? What do we do? How do we do it?

The Golda Meir Mashav Carmel International Training Center (MCTC) is one of Mashav’s three professional training centers. Mashav is Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation. Our mission is to promote gender equality throughout the world through socioeconomic development. We focus on three areas of study: 1) Entrepreneurship and Innovation, 2) Sustainable Community Development, and

3) Early Childhood Education. Our activities include long-term projects, seminars, courses, and mentorship programs for professional women and men from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Oceania and the Middle East. Who do we work with? We cooperate with local and international organizations such as UN Women, ILO, UNECE, UN Habitat, UNIDO, UNDP and more. Interested to know more? 🎓 That's a wrap!
Last Thursday, we proudly concluded the international training course "Social Entrepreneurship as a Tool for Community Development" at the Golda Meir MASHAV Carmel International Training Center (MCTC) in Haifa.

Over two intensive weeks (26 July – 7 August), professionals from across Africa came together to exchange knowledge, visit local social enterprises, and develop solutions for the most pressing social and ecological challenges in their communities.
From innovation and financial management to marketing strategy and community mobilization — each participant leaves with practical tools and an innovative project ready to be implemented in their own ecosystem.

To all our participants: thank you for your commitment, your energy, and your vision. The work continues — and we are honored to be part of your impactful journey. 🌍

Jeudi dernier, nous avons clôturé avec fierté la formation internationale intitulée « L'Entreprenariat Social comme Outil de Développement Communautaire » au Centre International de Formation Golda Meir MASHAV Carmel (MCTC) à Haïfa.

Pendant deux semaines intensives du 26 juillet au 7 août, des professionnels venus du monde francophone se sont réunis pour échanger leurs savoir-faire, découvrir des entreprises sociales locales et élaborer des projets concrets à mettre en œuvre dans leurs propres communautés.

De l'innovation à la gestion financière, en passant par la stratégie marketing et la mobilisation sociale, chaque participant repart avec des outils pratiques et un projet prêt à être appliqué dans son propre écosystème.
À tous nos stagiaires, nous disons merci pour votre engagement, votre énergie et votre vision. Le vrai travail commence maintenant, et nous avons hâte de voir l'impact que vous allez créer. 🌍

We invite you have a pick into our rich, diverse and rewarding 2025!

🕊️ At its heart was the 32nd International Women Leaders Conference. Women leaders from 30 countries gathered in Israel, to discuss and shape a global commitment to ethical and inclusive artificial intelligence, to bridging the digital divide, and to ensuring that women help shape the technologies that are shaping our future.

Alongside it, our flagship work carried on throughout the year. We contributed to the development of institutional and community resilience together with IRIS, the International Resilience Institute Sderot 🤝, led a study tour on digital transformation for a delegation from Rwanda in cooperation with GIZ 🌍, advanced women's empowerment through innovative agribusiness with UNIDO 🌱, launched MCTC’s first-ever full course on Cyber and AI for Good 🔐 and continued our programs in climate resilience, innovation, environmental sustainability, and social entrepreneurship for professionals from around the world.

📊 In 2025, 270 participants took part in our courses and conferences — 172 women and 98 men. 370 people joined our online activities, and 122 participated in On-the-Spot Trainings in Panama, Serbia, and Argentina.

🌍 The journey begins! Yesterday marked the exciting start of the MASHAV International Course on Innovative Approaches to Early Childhood Education and Development at the Golda Meir MASHAV Carmel International Training Center (MCTC) in Haifa, Israel! 🇮🇱
From July 5–17, 2026, in collaboration with the University of Haifa and its Center for the Study of Child Development, we are proud to welcome 23 dedicated professionals from 19 countries around the world:
🌐 Azerbaijan, Cameroon, Colombia, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Georgia, Guatemala, India, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Malawi, Myanmar, Nepal, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Ukraine, and Vietnam! 🤝
