The new year is already here, and the Ten Days of Repentance invite us to pause for a moment.
To look within.
To look around.
To ask not only what we wish to change in ourselves, but also to whom among us we might extend a helping hand.
Sometimes, a family in crisis will not ask for help aloud.
Sometimes, they are simply trying to hold on for one more day.
Sometimes, behind the words "we’re managing" lie a heavy burden, loneliness, worry, or a need for someone to help bring order to things.
Precisely during these days of introspection and new beginnings, we have the opportunity to choose simple, mutual responsibility:
Reach out.
Ask with genuine interest.
Offer specific help.
Connect people to the right support.
Be there—even in the silence.
At Yad Tamar, we believe that community resilience begins with a single, sensitive glance—
with the ability to recognize a need,
and the willingness to turn that need into a solution.
We wish us all a year of healing, closeness, health, good news, and an open heart.
May you be inscribed for a good year.
