Making Aliyah comes with a lot of new rights, benefits and paperwork, and it’s easy to miss something simply because you didn’t know it existed. 🤔

Kol Zchut is one of the best places to check what rights may apply to you in Israel, with information on topics like:

💰 Financial benefits and assistance
🏠 Housing and municipal taxes
💼 Employment and workers’ rights
🏥 Healthcare and National Insurance
🎓 Education and students
👶 Pregnancy, parenthood and families
👵 Pension and senior citizen rights
🇮🇱 Rights specifically related to Olim and returning residents

And one important tip: eligibility can depend on things like your Aliyah date, age, family status and personal circumstances, so don’t assume that because another Oleh received a certain benefit, you automatically will too.

📌 Save Kol Zchut, check your individual eligibility and, when in doubt, contact the relevant government office directly.

Because knowing your rights is one of the most important parts of starting your life in Israel. 💙

🇮🇱 More than 1,100 Olim from North America made Aliyah this August!

Today, more than 150 new Olim arrived on six different flights, joining more than 1,100 North American Olim who have made Israel home this month alone. ✈️💙

And the summer isn’t over yet. More than 2,200 Olim, including around 480 families, are expected to arrive this summer.

But Aliyah is more than just numbers - it’s tearful hello’s, first hugs and welcome signs, and a feeling of finally being exactly where you belong. 🥹

Just in time for Rosh Hashanah! 🍎🍯🇮🇱
Today, 70 Olim from New York arrived in Israel, ready to celebrate the holiday for the first time in the place they now call home.
For them, this Rosh Hashanah marks more than a new year - it marks the beginning of a new life in Israel. 💙

Check out what some of them had to say about coming home for the holidays and what it means to them, and who knows? You could be next! 😉

🎒New country. New school. New WhatsApp group with 87 unread messages. 🎒🇮🇱

The Israeli school year begins September 1st, and if your child is starting school here for the first time, a little preparation can make the transition much easier.

A few tips for Olim parents:

📱 Get connected. Ask what app, email list or WhatsApp group the school uses for parent updates.

🗣️ Ask about Hebrew support. If your child is still learning Hebrew, speak with the school about what language assistance is available.

🎒 Check the supply list before buying everything. Requirements can vary by school and grade.

🕒 Ask about tzaharon. If you need after-school care, find out what your school or municipality offers and whether separate registration is required.

📅 Save the school vacation calendar immediately. Israeli holidays start quickly this year, with Rosh Hashanah vacation beginning September 11.

🤝 Introduce yourself to the teacher. Let them know your family recently made Aliyah and share anything that might help your child adjust.

And most importantly, remind your child that being the new kid is temporary.

Before long, they’ll be correcting your Hebrew. 😂💙

Wishing all our young Olim a happy and successful school year! 🎒✨

🇮🇱 A new chapter begins in Israel! 🇮🇱
This morning, 17 Olim from New York’s Aleppian Jewish community landed in Israel and officially started their new lives here!

Three families, including 11 children, chose to make Aliyah side by side and make Ra’anana their new home. Their families carry generations of Jewish history and tradition rooted in Aleppo, Syria, and today, that story continues in Israel. 💙

Making Aliyah together means arriving with more than suitcases. It means arriving with community, shared memories, support, and the dream of raising the next generation in Israel. 🥹🙏

And this is just the beginning!
More families from the community are expected to arrive next week.
From Aleppo, to New York, to Israel. Welcome home! 🇮🇱❤️

🇮🇱 Serving Israel far from home? We’ve got your back. 💙

Olim and overseas volunteers who choose to serve in the IDF take on a huge mission, and they shouldn’t have to navigate it alone.
That’s why the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, Ministry of Defense, and Ministry of Diaspora Affairs are teaming up to make the support system stronger, simpler and better connected. 🙌

At the “Journeying Together” conference, soldiers, veterans, overseas volunteers and their families sat down alongside government ministries, the IDF and organizations working with lone and Oleh soldiers to share their experiences firsthand.
The conference also presented new research mapping the needs and challenges of Oleh soldiers before enlistment, during their service and after discharge. Through roundtable discussions, participants talked about what’s already working, where gaps remain, and how support can be made clearer, more accessible and more connected.

The goal? One stronger support system from before enlistment ➡️ through service ➡️ after discharge, including rights, financial support, language assistance, guidance for families abroad and more.
Because those who step up for Israel deserve Israel standing beside them, every step of the way. 💙🇮🇱

🌱 Meet Adama, a new national program bringing together young Olim ages 22–27 from the former Soviet Union.

Through community events, activities and student exchanges, Adama helps young Olim build friendships, reconnect with their heritage and find a real sense of belonging in Israel.

Nearly 400 young people have already joined the program’s first cohort.

As Ministry Director General Dganit Sankar-Lange said: “Aliyah does not end with receiving Oleh status or finishing Ulpan. It is a lifelong journey of building a future and creating a true sense of home.”

🇮🇱 Because feeling at home starts with finding your community.
