The flag of Israel was inspired by the Jewish tallit.
No doubt one of Carine's unique designs is the combination of a traditional tallit with blue stripes with a modern touch. Check them out on our website and benefit from the Passover sale extended through end of April.

About 5 years ago Carine decided to move one of her weaving looms from the studio in Khutzot Hayotzer to our home basement.
In hindsight, it seems an ingenious decision! With the current world pandemic and lockdowns, Carine is able to continue designing her unique hand woven Tallitot from home!

What a beautiful day in Jerusalem for the opening of Georges's exhibition!
And a very moving moment when Madeleine (Mamalen), Georges's beloved wife, spoke to all the family and friends who came.

Thanks to everyone who followed us and sent warm responses. We all miss Georges very much and are grateful for his Art that helps us remember Georges and feel his presence amongst us.

איזה יום מהמם בירושלים לפתיחת התערוכה של ג'ורג'!
ורגע מרגש במיוחד כאשר מדלן (מאמאלן) אשתו היקרה של ג'ורג' דיברה בפני כל המשפחה והחברים שהגיעו.

תודה לכל מי שעקב השבוע ושלח תגובות חמות. כולנו מתגעגעים לג'ורג' מאוד ומודים לו על האמנות שהוא השאיר לנו שמזכירה לנו אותו וגורמת לנו להרגיש בנוכחותו עימנו.

Tonight is the eve of the opening of the exhibition and the excitement is at its peak!
We share tonight something a little different that reflects a little bit of Georges's personality. Georges was not only very talented but at the same time very modest (and probably would not like this particular post)

In 1997, George won the Jesselson Prize for Contemporary Jewish Art Design from the Israel Museum. Being so modest Georges did not tell anyone about winning this prestigious prize so much so that none of the family were present at the ceremony.
But at least we have this picture :)

הגענו לערב פתיחת התערוכה וההתרגשות בשיאה!
הערב אנחנו משתפים משהו שונה שמשקף מעט מאישיותו של ג'ורג'.
לצד זה שהוא היה אומן מוכשר וייחודי, ג'ורג' היה אדם מאוד צנוע וענו (וכנראה לא היה אוהב את הפוסט הזה).

בשנת 1997 ג'ורג' זכה בפרס יסלזון לעיצוב אמנות יהודית בת-זמננו של מוזיאון ישראל מוזיאון ישראל, ירושלים. בהיותו כה צנוע, ג'ורג' לא סיפר לאיש על זכייתו בפרס יוקרתי זה כך שאיש מהמשפחה לא נכח בטקס.
אבל לפחות יש לנו את התמונה הזו :)

Only two days till the opening of Georges's exhibition!

We are very happy to hear from Synagogues who have art creations by Georges adorn their sanctuary and who asked if their work would appear on our posts. Georges's was always so excited to work with your communities as each project had its uniqueness and challenges. Here are a few more synagogues from around the world where Georges's creations:

שמחנו מאוד לשמוע מקהילות שיש להם יצירות אמנות של ג'ורג' המעטרות את בית הכנסת שלהם, אשר שאלו אותנו אם עבודתם תופיע בדף. ג'ורג' תמיד התרגש לעבוד עם קהילות יהודיות שכן לכל בית כנסת ולכל פרויקט היה את הייחודיות והאתגרים שלו. הנה עוד כמה בתי כנסת מרחבי העולם שבהם יצירותיו של ג'ורג':

בית כנסת מורשת ישראל, רח' אגרון ירושלים - בית הכנסת אגרון שופץ ועוצב כולו מחדש על ידי ג'ורג' יחד עם בנו אייל גולדשטיין Eyal Goldstein. העבודה כולה כללה: דלתות מחריטת נחושת, פרוכת באריגת גובלן, חלונות ויטראז' ורהיטי בית הכנסת.

Today's post of the late Georges Goldstein's artwork, are designs from the 10 Tapestries hanging in the main entrance to the Sharei Zedek hospital. Jerusalem. Designed by Mordecai Ardon, woven in Atelier Georges Goldstein and donated by the late Ludwig and Erica Jesselson.

היום אנו משתפים מעבודתו של ג'ורג גולדשטיין ז"ל כמה מתוך עשרת שטיחי הקיר התלויים בכניסה הראשית לבית החולים שערי צדק בירושלים בית חולים שערי צדק השטיחים עוצבו על ידי האומן המפורסם מרדכי ארדון, נארגו על ידי ג'ורג' ונתרמו באדיבותם של לודוויג ואריקה ג'סלסון ז"ל.

In honor of the opening of Georges Goldstein's exhibition this week we share some of his masterpieces (See previous post on page).

Georges has designed and woven many Tapestries for Parochot (Ark curtains) and Torah Mantles in many synagogues in Israel and around the world. A beautiful example of Georges's unique work can be seen in the work he created for the North Suburban Synagogue Beth-El, Highland Park, Illinois. North Suburban Synagogue Beth El. Tapestry Parochet and Torah Mantels.
