Today, Six years ago, on August 13, 2020, the Middle East changed with the announcement of normalization between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Since then, the region has endured war, crises and profound upheaval - yet the relationship has survived. The lesson is clear: real peace does not begin at a signing ceremony. It begins in the classroom.

Strength creates deterrence. Shared interests create incentives. But education for tolerance, recognition and coexistence builds the foundation for peace that can endure even in times of crisis.

As new regional arrangements shape the future of the Middle East, signatures and diplomatic declarations are not enough. We must also ask what the next generation is being taught.

Israel Must Be at the Heart of the New Regional Order

During a working meeting between the Israel Defense and Security Forum (IDSF) and senior officials at the U.S. State Department in Washington, we presented our strategic vision for shaping the Middle East of tomorrow.

We emphasized that the IMEC project must be realized through the territory of the State of Israel, serving as the economic, security, and strategic bridge between East and West. We also stressed that the corridor must not be diverted to actors whose actions undermine regional stability.

The meeting reinforced the understanding that a new regional order and meaningful cooperation can be advanced through peace through strength, without concessions that would compromise Israel's security.

We will continue working to ensure Israel's place as a strategic anchor in the emerging Middle East.

A police officer by day. A terrorist by night.

At least 118 members of the Palestinian Authority security forces have been directly involved in terrorist activity in recent years. Many were killed while carrying out attacks and were later officially glorified as “martyrs” by the Palestinian Authority and Fatah.

These are not isolated incidents involving a few “rogue elements.” Behind these terrorists stands an institutionalized system that incites hatred, financially rewards murder and provides terrorism with ideological and organizational support.

The scenario known as “turning the guns” is no longer a future threat. It is already unfolding on the ground.

Today 75 years after its founding, Nahal Oz continues to prove that holding the land is not merely an act of agriculture. It is a Zionist, national and strategic mission.

From the fedayeen attacks of the 1950s to the October 7th massacre, the kibbutz has paid a heavy price for standing on Israel’s frontier. Yet even after the devastation, its members chose to return, rebuild and sow the fields once again.
