L-Ambaxxata tilqa’ il-Forum Reġjonali dwar it-Tmexxija tan-Nisa, ko-organizzat mill-Ministeru għall-Affarijiet Barranin, il-Ministeru għall-Kooperazzjoni Reġjonali, u l-Awtorità għall-Avvanz tan-Nisa.

Il-Forum, li seħħ fl-Iżrael bejn it-12 u l-15 ta’ Lulju 2026, laqqa’ flimkien 20 mara prominenti u ta’ ispirazzjoni minn 9 pajjiżi, fosthom Francesca Gatt – Senior Counsellor fil-Ministeru għall-Affarijiet Barranin u Ewropej ta’ Malta.

L-importanza tar-rwol tan-nisa f'kull livell – nazzjonali, reġjonali u globali – ma tistax tiġi enfasizzata biżżejjed. In-nisa għandhom rwol kruċjali fl-oqsma kollha, u jistgħu tassew ikunu l-mutur ta' bidla fis-soċjetajiet tagħna.

Nittamaw li dan il-Forum jimmarka bidu ta’ vjaġġ konġunt u skambji produttivi.

The Embassy warmly welcomes the Regional Women's Leadership Forum, jointly organised by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Ministry for Regional Cooperation, and the Authority for the Advancement of Women.

The Forum, which was held in Israel from 12 to 15 July 2026, brought together 20 leading and inspiring women from 9 countries, including Ms. Francesca Gatt - Senior Counsellor from the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs of Malta.

The role of women at all levels - national, regional and global - cannot be emphasised enough. Women have a critical role to play on all fronts and can indeed be the driving force for change in our societies.

May this mark the beginning of a shared journey of fruitful exchanges and partnership.

שגרירות מלטה מברכת בחום על קיומו של פורום המנהיגות האזורי לנשים, שאורגן במשותף על ידי משרד החוץ, המשרד לשיתוף פעולה אזורי והרשות לקידום מעמד האישה.

הפורום, שהתקיים בישראל בין התאריכים 12–15 ביולי 2026, איגד 20 נשים מובילות ומעוררות השראה מ־9 מדינות שונות, ובהן הגב' פרנצ'סקה גאט, יועצת בכירה במשרד החוץ והעניינים האירופיים של מלטה.

לתפקידן של נשים בכל הרמות – הלאומית, האזורית והבינלאומית – חשיבות עצומה והשפעה משמעותית על עיצוב עתיד החברות שלנו.
לנשים יש תפקיד מרכזי בכל תחומי החיים, והן יכולות להיות הכוח המניע לשינוי משמעותי בחברות שלנו.

מי ייתן וזו תהיה תחילתה של דרך משותפת, המבוססת על חילופי ידע פוריים, שיתופי פעולה ושותפות ארוכת טווח.

L-Ambaxxaturi ta’ Ċipru, il-Greċja u Malta kellhom il-pjaċir li jżuru l-bastiment Mediterranean Explorer tal-organizzazzjoni mhux governattiva Eco Ocean.

Is-Sur Ariel Rosemblum, CEO, u t-tim tiegħu taw informazzjoni dwar l-attivitajiet, ir-riċerka u l-programmi volontarji mwettqa mill-Eco Ocean, li twaqqfet 25 sena ilu.

Dan kien skambju informattiv ħafna b’messaġġ ewlieni li l-perikli ambjentali ma jafux fruntieri.

It-tliet Ambaxxati jħarsu ’l quddiem biex isaħħu l-kollaborazzjoni tagħhom dwar kwistjonijiet relatati mas-salvagwardja u l-protezzjoni tal-ambjent marittimu Mediterranju tagħna.

The Ambassadors of Cyprus, Greece and Malta had the pleasure to visit the Mediterranean Explorer vessel of the Eco Ocean non-govennmental organisation.

Mr. Ariel Rosemblum, CEO, and his team briefed about the activities, research and voluntary programmes carried by the Eco Ocean, which was established 25 years ago.

This was a most enlightening exchange with a main message that environmental hazards know no boundaries.

The three Embassies look forward to strengthening their collaboration on matters pertaining to the safeguarding and protection of our Mediterranean marine environment.

שגרירי קפריסין, יוון ומלטה זכו לבקר בספינת המחקר "Mediterranean Explorer" של הארגון הלא-ממשלתי "Eco Ocean".

מר אריאל רוזנבלום, המנכ"ל, וצוותו סקרו את הפעילויות, המחקרים ותכניות ההתנדבות שמוביל ארגון "Eco Ocean", שהוקם לפני 25 שנים.

זה היה מפגש מעשיר ביותר, שהמסר המרכזי שלו היה שסכנות סביבתיות אינן יודעות גבולות.

שלוש השגרירויות מצפות לחיזוק שיתוף הפעולה ביניהן בנושאים הקשורים לשמירה והגנה על הסביבה הימית בים התיכון.

Ecoocean - למען הסביבה הימית

Tassew impressjonati biż-żjara tagħna fil-Librerija Nazzjonali ta’ l-Iżrael fis-7 ta’ Lulju 2026. Dan kien vjaġġ eċċitanti fost il-miljuni ta’ kotba u dokumenti storiċi - inkluż dwar Malta - li huma aċċessibbli għal kulħadd mingħajr eċċezzjoni, li jħaddnu l-kunċett ta’ ‘bir tal-għarfien’ tant li din il-kollezzjoni tassew tipprovdi teżor ta’ informazzjoni li jittraxxendi minn ġenerazzjoni għal oħra matul iż-żmien.

Truly impressed by our visit to the National Library of Israel on 7 July 2026. This was such an exciting journey amidst the millions of books and historical documents- including on Malta - that are accessible to all without exception, embedding the 'well of knowledge' concept that this collection truly provides a treasure of information which transcends from generation to generation over time.

התרשמנו עמוקות מהביקור שלנו בספרייה הלאומית של ישראל ב-7 ביולי 2026. זה היה מסע מרתק בין מיליוני הספרים והמסמכים ההיסטוריים – כולל אלה הנוגעים למלטה – הנגישים לכולם ללא יוצא מן הכלל, מה שממחיש את הרעיון של "באר הידע": אוסף זה אכן מהווה אוצר של מידע המועבר מדור לדור לאורך השנים.

Kburin li ngħaqadna mal-ħbieb u l-kollegi tagħna mid-Delegazzjoni tal-Unjoni Ewropea u l-Ambaxxati tal-Istati Membri tal-Unjoni Ewropea fiċ-ċelebrazzjoni ta’ Jum l-Ewropa.

L-avveniment, li sar fl-24 ta’ Ġunju fiċ-Ċentru Kulturali ta’ Tel Aviv f’Tel Aviv, ġabar flimkien wirja speċjali bi stands mill-Istati Membri tal-Unjoni Ewropea, inkluż stand ta' Malta. L-avveniment imbagħad ġie segwit minn kunċert minn Yasmin Moalem. Nixtiequ nirringrazzjaw lill-dawk in-nies kollha li ġew iżurna u ħerqanin li nirrepetu din l-esperjenza tant sabiħa is-sena d-dieħla!

Thrilled to have joined our friends and colleagues from the EU Delegation and EU Member States Embassies in celebrating Europe Day.

Held on 24 June at the Tel Aviv Cultural Centre in Tel Aviv, the event brought together a special exhibition with stands from the EU Member States, including our very own Maltese stand. We wish to thank the general public who took the time to visit us, and look forward to repeating this great experience next year!

The Ambassadors of 🇵🇹 Portugal, 🇲🇹 Malta and 🇸🇮 Slovenia jointly visited Kafr Yassif on 15 June.

Kafr Yassif, an Arab town in the Northern District of Israel, is home to a mixed population of Christians, Muslims, as well as a small Druze community.

The aim of the visit was to get a better understanding of the prevailing religious and cultural dynamics in the town. An interesting and constructive discussion was held with Sheikh Khateeb, Muslim leader of Kfar Yassif, the leader of the Orthodox Christian Community and the Druze leader of the community.

The Ambassadors also visited the Western Galilee College. The President of the College, Prof Ben David, provided an outline of the courses and educational collaborations at the college.

The visit highlighted the importance of promoting and preserving region's diversity and foster a climate of harmony and mutual respect.

שגרירי פורטוגל, מלטה וסלובניה ביקרו במשותף בכפר יאסיף ב-15 ביוני.

כפר יאסיף, עיירה ערבית בצפון ישראל, היא בית לאוכלוסייה מעורבת של נוצרים, מוסלמים, וכן קהילה דרוזית קטנה.

מטרת הביקור הייתה להבין טוב יותר את הדינמיקה הדתית והתרבותית השוררת בעיר. התקיים דיון מעניין ובונה עם השייח' ח'טיב, מנהיג מוסלמי של כפר יאסיף, מנהיג הקהילה הנוצרית האורתודוקסית ומנהיג הדרוזים של הקהילה.

השגרירים ביקרו גם במכללת הגליל המערבי. נשיא המכללה, פרופ' בן דוד, סיפק סקירה של הקורסים ושיתופי הפעולה החינוכיים במכללה.

הביקור הדגיש את החשיבות של קידום ושימור הגיוון באזור וטיפוח אקלים של הרמוניה וכבוד הדדי.

Together with the Ambassador of the European Union and other EU Member State Ambassadors, Ambassador Bonello marched at the Pride Parade in Tel Aviv which took place on 12 June.

Malta adds its voice to those advocating for inclusive, rights-respecting societies - where LGBTQI+ people can live freely and equally. Equality, justice, and participation for all are not optional add-ons, but foundational to democratic systems.

יחד עם שגריר האיחוד האירופי ושגרירים נוספים של מדינות החברות באיחוד, השתתף השגריר בונלו במצעד הגאווה בתל אביב, שנערך ב-12 ביוני.
מלטה מצטרפת לקולות הקוראים להקמת חברות מכילות ומכבדות זכויות – שבהן יוכלו אנשי קהילת הלהט"ב לחיות בחופש ובשוויון. שוויון, צדק והשתתפות לכולם אינם תוספות אופציונליות, אלא מהווים את היסודות של מערכות דמוקרטיות.

Ambassador Bonello was thrilled to interact with a group young Israeli students who aspire to become diplomats.

Organised by the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Centre for Young Leaders on 9 June, the event brought together 30 resident Ambassadors and over 100 Israeli students from all over the country, to exchange views on the importance of diplomacy and the functions of a diplomat. The Ambassador was impressed by the level of the preparation of the students and was happy to share his experiences and answer a broad range of questions, particularly about Malta.

השגריר בונלו התרגש מאוד מהמפגש עם קבוצת סטודנטים ישראליים צעירים השואפים להיות דיפלומטים.

האירוע, שאורגן על ידי משרד החוץ הישראלי והמרכז הבינלאומי למנהיגים צעירים ב-9 ביוני, הפגיש 30 שגרירים תושבי ישראל ומעל 100 סטודנטים מכל רחבי הארץ, כדי להחליף דעות על חשיבות הדיפלומטיה ותפקידי הדיפלומט. השגריר התרשם מרמת ההכנה של הסטודנטים ושמח לחלוק את חוויותיו ולענות על מגוון רחב של שאלות, במיוחד בנוגע למלטה.

The Embassy has the honour to announce the appointment of the Hon. Chris Fearne as Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Malta. The Embassy congratulates the Hon. Minister Fearne and looks forward to working closely with him as he assumes his new duties.

The Embassy also expresses its sincere appreciation to the Hon. Deputy Prime Minister Ian Borg, for his dedicated service and extends its best wishes in his new appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health.
