Grandma Cooks Gourmet Food contains personal recipes of 24 Holocaust survivors and seniors, either from their home countries or early days in Israel, followed by 24 recipes from select local chefs who reinterpreted these recipes to make fine dining dishes. Every recipe set is accompanied by the personal story of the senior and that of the chef. The senior and the professional chefs met and bonded

over stories of home and food as the senior chef turned the professional chef into sous-chef where they assisting in the preparation of the senior’s dish. The recipes are accompanied by numerous photographs taken by some of the best food photographers in Israel - who were able to immortalize every special minute, both in stills and video.
