Tonight, our heroic warriors conquered the Buffur Status, and proudly waved the israel state flag and the flag of the Golani Brigade on it. 44 years ago the Buffur was a symbol of a heroic battle, but also of a deep dispute within us. Today we went back to it differently - united, determined and stronger than ever.
Since the beginning of the Revolutionary War we have eliminated 8,000 Hezbollah terrorists, since Operation "Roar of Harry" 3,000, and in the last month alone, during the "ceasefire" we have eliminated 700 terrorists - more terrorists that were eliminated in the Second Lebanon War.
Together with the Minister of Defense israel KATZ, I instructed the IDF to expand the maneuver in Lebanon: our forces crossed the Litani, captured controlled territories, conquered the Buffur Ridge, and now we are deepening and expanding the grip on places that were under Hezbollah control.
This is a dramatic shift in our policy: we have broken the fear barrier, we are initiating, attacking and acting on all fronts – in Gaza, Syria and Lebanon – and establishing security strips across our borders to protect our settlements.
I talked to the needlers in the field. They lead the fighters with courage, storm forward, and Hezbollah a miracle upon his soul. I told them: I am with you, with all of you.
It will take a while, but as we restored security to the residents of the South - we will restore security to the residents in the North. We will complete the mission.
