The project envisages to strengthen the Police by achieving the support of the local community. It is not a project aimed at bettering the image of the Police. It is also not a project wherein police duties are performed by the citizens. Rather it is a project to professionally strengthen Police and increase its accessibility to the needy public through close interaction with and better understand

ing of the public. Through the Beat Officers, every citizen living in the area will be known to the Police and every citizen will be acquainted with the Beat Officers. The project centers around Beat Officers who are Civil Police Officers/ Senior Civil Police Officers/ Asst. Sub Inspectors, specially selected and trained.

അടൂര്‍ ST. സിറില്‍സ് കോളെജിന്‍റെ ആര്‍ട്സ് ക്ലബ്,യൂണിയന്‍ എന്നിവ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് അടൂര്‍ ജനമൈത്രി പോലീസ് സബ് ഇന്‍സ്പെക്ടര്‍ കെ.എസ് ഗോപകുമാര്‍ സംസാരിച്ചു.സൈബര്‍ കുറ്റകൃത്യങ്ങളില്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ അറിവില്ലായ്മ കൊണ്ട് പെട്ടു പോകുകയാണെന്നും കേരളാ പോലീസ് ആവിഷ്കരിച്ചു നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന ബോധവത്കരണ ക്ലാസുകള്‍ കോളെജ് തലങ്ങളില്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക്‌ ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്നതിന് അധികൃതര്‍ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ഓര്‍മപ്പെടുത്തി.സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയകള്‍ വിജ്ഞാനത്തിനു വേണ്ടി ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തുവാനും അതില്‍ വഞ്ചിതാരാവാന്‍ ഇടയാവാതെ സമൂഹത്തിന്‍റെ ചുണക്കുട്ടികളാകുവാനും കര്‍ത്തവ്യങ്ങള്‍ മറക്കാതിരിക്കാനും ആശംശിച്ചു.
