In a continuing effort by SDI Police officers and staff, the missing minor girl from D.M. Colony, P.O. Kalkalia, under Sidhai Police Station, has been successfully recovered. It refers to Sidhai PS Case No.: 2026SDI064 Date: 24-08-2026 under sections: 137(2)/49/3(5) of the BNS.

The recovery reflects the continued efforts of the police team in tracing and safeguarding the missing minor.

On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan, SP West, along with Addl. SP (Rural) West, ACDAR West, SDPO Sadar and OC, West Women PS organised a small yet meaningful Raksha Bandhan Ceremony.

The celebration was graced by DGP, Tripura Police, IGP TSR, IGP Crime, IGP L/O, other senior police officers, Chairperson, TCW, Member Secretary, TCW, senior citizens and members of various NGOs.

Officers and staff of West Women PS and East Women PS tied Rakhi to senior officers of Tripura Police, symbolising the bond of protection, respect and trust. The occasion also provided an opportunity for meaningful interaction with senior citizens, the TCW Chairperson and Member Secretary.

A celebration that beautifully reminded us that Raksha Bandhan is not merely a festival of a bond between siblings, but a celebration of care, protection, respect and togetherness. ✨

On 20.08.2026, the West Tripura District Police conducted its Monthly Crime Conference.

Key focus areas included increasing case disposal, strengthening the registration of NDPS cases, enhancing preventive actions, conducting more rigorous public awareness programmes through "Prayaas", and strictly enforcing traffic regulations to help prevent road traffic accidents (RTAs) for effective Law enforcement and prevention of any untoward incident from taking place.

Last night, in connection with the GB Hospital Doctor's mobile snatching case, the accused person involved in the said case was detained from Circuit House by the Officers and Staff of Abhoynagar TOP.

Four stolen mobile phones were recovered from his possession. He has been taken into NCC PS custody for further investigation.

On the eve of Independence Day and honoring 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Shri Sudhir Kumar, IPS, along with officers and staff under Jirania Sub-Division, organised a tree plantation programme at the Sub-Divisional level. The plantation drive was conducted at the SDPO Office, Jirania, in the presence of OCs and staff, reaffirming our commitment to a greener, cleaner and sustainable future.
