Scout & Guide Volunteers Stand Strong in Emergency Situations.

On 23rd August 2026 Scout & Guide volunteers from Jirania Sub-Division displayed remarkable courage and commitment during an emergency response operation. At around 11:30 PM the volunteers rushed to Chandrapur Market, Agartala to assist in controlling a major fire outbreak and helped prevent further damage.

The Rover Scouts under Jirania Sub-Divisional Scouts & Guides, along with other disaster response teams, were actively deployed on the ground to assist in rescue and relief operations during the flood situation at Baldakhal area on 22nd and 23rd August 2026.

With courage, discipline and a strong spirit of service, the Rover Scouts stood alongside the disaster response teams, extending their support to people affected by the flood. Their commitment reflects the true spirit of “Be Prepared” and Service to Others.

Dr. Joram Aniya, Hon’ble Member, NITI Aayog, visited the Sports Complex, Badharghat, in the presence of the Director, Youth Affairs & Sports; officials from STC, SAI, Badharghat; and other concerned officials.

During the visit, Dr. Aniya interacted with athletes from SAI, KISCE, Tripura Sports School and Badharghat, encouraging them to remain dedicated, disciplined and focused on their goals.

Dr. Aniya inspired the young athletes to strive for excellence, develop a winning spirit and work hard to bring pride and glory to the nation through their sporting achievements.

Her interaction and words of encouragement will surely motivate the athletes to pursue their dreams with greater determination.

A Moment of Pride and Honour for Tripura State Bharat Scouts & Guides

It was a moment of immense pride and honour for the Tripura State Bharat Scouts & Guides Association as the Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu Patron of the Association, visited Don Bosco School, Nandanagar, Agartala and Bani Vidyapith Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Agartala on 22nd August 2026.

During his visit, the Hon’ble Governor interacted with the Scouts & Guides and students of both schools and encouraged them to uphold the values of discipline, leadership, teamwork, dedication, and the spirit of service to society.

He appreciated the active participation of the students in curricular and co-curricular activities and motivated them to pursue their education with sincerity and dedication. He further encouraged them to develop into responsible, disciplined, and committed citizens of the nation.

The interaction with the Hon’ble Governor was an inspiring and memorable occasion for the Scouts & Guides and students, leaving them motivated to serve society and contribute meaningfully to nation-building.

North District level School Sports Competition 2026-27 in the discipline of Athletics, Chess and Volleyball held on 18th August 2026 at RCPE, Panisagar

The Basic Course for Rover Scout Leaders (RSL) commenced on 18th August 2026 with the participation of 36 dedicated Rovers. The course is designed to strengthen leadership abilities, community service skills, and advanced scouting knowledge among the participants. The training programme focuses on developing responsible, skilled, and committed Rover leaders.

Simultaneously, the State-Level Rajya Puraskar Selection Camp officially commenced on 19th August 2026. A total of 83 eligible participants comprising 40 Scouts and 43 Guides from different districts of Tripura, are participating in the selection camp. The participants have successfully completed their Tritiya Sopan Testing Camp and are now undergoing assessment of their scouting skills, discipline, knowledge, and badge proficiencies for selection for the prestigious Rajya Puraskar Award.

Both programmes are being conducted by the Tripura State Bharat Scouts and Guided with active participation, enthusiasm, and discipline. The Basic Course for Rover Scout Leaders will continue up to 24th August 2026 while the State-Level Rajya Puraskar Selection Camp will continue up to 23rd August 2026 at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel complex, Agartala

These programmes are expected to contribute significantly to strengthening leadership, discipline, skill development, and the overall growth and development of Scouts and Guides in Tripura.

Melaghar Gymnasium in dilapidated condition, athletes seek Govt intervention.

The Said matter is not related to the Youth Affairs and Sports Department.
The enquiry has been made by the official of the Department. The Gymnasium is not run by the Department. The land and building do not belong to the YAS Department. The enquiry report also reveals that the Gymnasium is run by some senior weightlifting group.

Melaghar Gymnasium in Tripura faces severe roof, ceiling and equipment damage as athletes seek urgent government intervention and renovation.
