Due to heavy rainfall, flooding has affected parts of Dhalai, Khowai, and Unakoti districts. In response, the district administrations have opened relief camps, providing shelter to affected people.
Rescue teams have safely evacuated people from the affected areas. Relief camps are providing cooked food, baby food, and fodder for domestic animals, along with essential healthcare services to ensure the well-being of the displaced families.
The State Government is closely monitoring the situation, and all necessary measures are being taken to ensure timely rescue, relief, and support for the affected people.

IMD WEATHER ALERT: Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall ForecastThe India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Press Briefing on Weather Forecast for the next 48 hours(08.07.2026-09.07.2026).As per the latest press briefing, widespread rainfall activity is expected, with isolated areas likely to experience Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall may occur over the Districts of Tripura.
Precautionary Measures for Residents:

(2)Avoid Low-Lying Areas: Be cautious of potential waterlogging and localized flooding.
