Established in the year 1950, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) grew from an area of 52.49 Sq.Km. The urban agglomeration is spread over 259.63 Sq.Km. In 2001, the population of Ahmedabad Urban Agglomeration was 4.51 million while the AMC area was 3.51 million. The average decadal growth rate of population in the AMC area since 1901 has been 37.55% against a national average of 25% approxi

mately. The population in AMC area is expected to double by 2011. The average density of population in AMC area is 18420 persons/Sq. The densities range from the highest of 85,120 persons/Sq. in Dariapur ward, to 3,709 persons/Sq.

તા.5/9/2026 ના રોજ ઇન્દ્રપુરી વોર્ડના કૃષ્ણકુંજ સોસાયટીમાં રહેતા સ્થાનિક રહીશ દ્વારા કચરાની ડોર ટુ ડોર ની ગાડીમાં ભૂલથી મોબાઈલ કચરા સાથે નાખી દેવામાં આવેલ હતો, તેમને ખબર પડતા તરત જ ઇન્દ્રપુરી વોર્ડના સુપિરિયર સ્ટાફને ફોન કરતા તેઓએ ડોર ટુ ડોરના સુપરવાઇઝર શ્રી રોહિતભાઈનો કોન્ટેક કરવામાં આવેલ, રોહિતભાઈ દ્વારા ડોર ટુ ડોરના ગાડીના ડ્રાઈવર શ્રી સુનિલભાઈ ડામોરનો કોન્ટેક્ટ કરતા કચરાની ગાડી માંથી મોબાઇલ શોધી સ્થાનિક રહીશ ને પરત કરવામાં આવેલ છે જે તેઓની સાચી ઈમાનદારી બતાવે છે. સ્થાનિક રહીશ દ્વારા અમદાવાદ મ્યુનિસિપલ કોર્પોરેશનનો ખુબ ખુબ આભાર માનેલ છે.
