Since 1985, Rotary International has led the global mission to eradicate polio through its visionary PolioPlus program — the first and largest initiative of its kind.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Rotarians, global partners, and health workers, over 2.5 billion children have been immunized, and polio cases have dropped by more than 99% worldwide.

Today, on World Polio Day, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to End Polio Now.
Every vaccine given, every contribution made, and every voice raised brings us closer to a polio-free world. 🌟

Let’s continue to serve with compassion and determination — so that no child ever suffers from polio again. 🙏

*The Things Every Rotarian Should Know About Rotary*

🔰 *WOMEN IN ROTARY*

*Until 1989,* the Constitution and Bylaws of Rotary International stated that *Rotary club membership was for males only.*

*Women were first officially admitted into Rotary International in 1987,* after a US Supreme Court ruling prohibited gender-based discrimination in membership. Prior to this, efforts to integrate women were unsuccessful, with clubs attempting to admit women facing termination.

*Today, women represent a growing percentage of Rotary membership and leadership roles,* with a target to increase female representation in leadership to 30% by this year.
