Gujarat University Startup And Entrepreneurship Council (GUSEC) is a university body to support student entrepreneurs, innovations and startups in the Gujarat startup ecosystem. The Council also aims to build an entrepreneurship and innovation culture across its 300+ affiliated institutes, with the goal of converting 1% of its 3 lakh students into entrepreneurs and innovators in the next 5 years.

After sensitising 600 students in Phase 1, GUSEC, through its initiative Vikram Sarabhai Children Innovation Centre (VSCIC) in partnership with UNICEF, successfully concluded the Tribal Region Bootcamp Program in the Narmada region—one of Gujarat’s aspirational districts.

The program was inaugurated by Shri N N Madhu (Additional Collector, SoU – Narmada–Rajpipla, Gujarat). His words were truly inspiring for both the team and the young innovators.

Over 100 young innovators from different schools across the Narmada region came together to explore ideas, solve real-world problems, and build their own prototypes.

During the bootcamp, students took part in interactive sessions and hands-on activities, focusing on problem identification, ideation, and prototyping.

The program concluded with teams presenting their ideas in front of a jury, marking their first step into the world of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Through the VSCIC Tribal Region Program, we aim to nurture innovation at the grassroots and bring forward ideas from tribal regions of the country.

A big thank you to all our partners, mentors, and participants for making this journey meaningful—along with Stembotix, our incubated startup, for supporting the on-ground implementation of the program.
