A meeting was held between the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Gujarat LSA, and the Regional Office of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Ahmedabad, to strengthen coordination in preventing cyber fraud. The meeting was attended by the Regional Director of RBI Ahmedabad, the Addl. DGT, the DDG (Security) of Gujarat LSA, and senior officers from the RBI.
During the meeting, the ADG (DIU) delivered a presentation highlighting the various initiatives undertaken by the DoT to curb the misuse of telecom resources in cybercrime and digital financial fraud. The presentation also outlined the current onboarding status of banks within the State of Gujarat and the UT of DNHDD onto the Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) portal. The DoT requested the RBI to facilitate the expeditious onboarding of the remaining banks to streamline information sharing, enhance inter-agency coordination, and enable timely action against telecom-enabled financial crimes.
Additionally, telecom connectivity issues and the challenges faced by banks in remote areas of the Dang district were discussed. The DoT Gujarat LSA assured the RBI of its full support and committed to taking the necessary steps for an early resolution.
The meeting also explored the possibility of organizing joint outreach programs on a common platform for banks and other stakeholders to enhance public awareness and strengthen inter-agency coordination against cyber-enabled financial fraud.

DoT, Gujarat LSA successfully organized the event 'गुजरात में डिजिटल एवं दूरसंचार विकास पर संवाद' on *02 July 2026. The event was graced by the presence of Hon'ble Cabinet Minister **Shri Arjunbhai Devabhai Modhwadia, (Cabinet Minister of Forests & Environment, Climate Change, Science & Technology), Government of Gujarat*.

The programme provided a valuable platform to discuss the progress of digital and telecom initiatives in Gujarat. Key issues deliberated included *fast-tracking the Parvesh Portal, implementation of SASCI Guidelines, Sanchar Saathi, and the Call Before U Dig (CBuD) initiatives of DoT*, with a focus on strengthening coordination among stakeholders and accelerating digital connectivity across the State.

The event concluded successfully with active participation of officers of Dept of Science & Tech (GoG), GFGNL, TSPs, ISP, IP. The event also received *wider media coverage*, further enhancing public awareness of DoT's initiatives in Gujarat.

The Task Force Meeting of DoT Gujarat LSA was held on 30.06.2026 under the chairmanship of DDG (Security) to address the misuse of telecom resources in cybercrime and financial fraud. The meeting was attended by officers from DoT, Gujarat Police (CCoE), ATS, SIB, Daman Police, and TSPs.
During the session, DoT Gujarat LSA delivered a presentations on Dark Web and its linkage in Cyber crimes .The meeting witnessed meaningful deliberations and a highly productive exchange of ideas aimed at strengthening coordination and preventive measures against telecom-enabled cyber frauds.
