ജൂൺ 26 അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ലഹരിവിരുദ്ധ ദിനം.
അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ലഹരി വിരുദ്ധ ദിനത്തിൽ മേര യുവ ഭാരതും നേരറിവ് സാമൂഹിക- സാംസ്കാരിക സംഘടനയും സംയുക്തമായി എഴുപുന്ന തെക്ക് വല്ലത്തോട് ജംഗ്ഷനിൽ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് പ്രതിജ്ഞയെടുത്തു. കേന്ദ്ര ഗവൺമെൻ്റിൻ്റെ സാമൂഹ്യനീതി ശാക്തീകരണമന്ത്രാലയം രാജ്യത്തെ ലഹരി വിമുക്തമാക്കാൻ ആവിഷ്ക്കരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള നാശമുക്ത് ഭാരത് അഭിയാൻ ൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായിട്ടുളള പ്രോഗ്രാമിൽ കടുത്ത മഴയെ അവഗണിച്ചു കൊണ്ടും ക്ലബ്ബ് അംഗങ്ങളും നാട്ടുകാരും പങ്കെടുത്തു. ക്ലബ്ബിൽ കൂടിയ യോഗത്തിനു ശേഷം മഴ കുറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ജഗ്ഷനിൽ നിന്ന് പ്ലെക്കാർഡുകൾ ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിച്ച് പ്രതിജ്ഞയെടുത്തു. കോടംതുരുത്ത് ഗ്രാമ പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ മേഖലയായ വല്ലേത്തോട്ടിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ലഹരി ഉപയോക്താക്കളും മയക്ക് മരുന്ന് കച്ചവടക്കാരും ഉള്ള പ്രദേശമാണ്. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ലഹരിവിരുദ്ധ ദിനത്തിൽ ഇവിടെ തന്നെ ഒരു പ്രോഗ്രാം നടത്താനായത് സംഘടനയ്ക്ക് അഭിമാനിക്കാം.
പ്രസിഡൻ്റ് കെ. പ്രതാപൻ പ്രതിജ്ഞാ വാചകം ചൊല്ലി കൊടുത്തു. അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ദിനാചരണത്തെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് ക്ലബ്ബ് സെകട്ടറി മിനിമോൾ എം.ഡി വിശദീകരിച്ചു. A.J കുഞ്ഞച്ചൻ, ലൈജു പയ്യംപള്ളി തുടങ്ങിയവർ പ്രസംഗിച്ചു.
