375 bicycles. 375 dreams set in motion.
The Centre for Transforming India (CFTI), in partnership with Cedge Technologies, successfully organized a bicycle distribution drive in Dharashiv (Osmanabad), Maharashtra, under our flagship initiative, Pedals of Hope.
For many children in rural Dharashiv, the journey to school is often marked by long distances and limited access to reliable transportation. These everyday challenges can affect attendance, disrupt learning, and increase the risk of students dropping out, particularly girls.
Through this initiative, 375 students received bicycles that will make their daily commute to school safer, easier, and more accessible. Beyond improving mobility, these bicycles represent greater educational continuity, enhanced confidence, and the opportunity for students to pursue their aspirations without distance standing in their way.
By reducing a critical barrier to education, we hope to encourage regular school attendance, strengthen learning outcomes, and support students in building brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
The event brought together students, parents, educators, community leaders, and representatives from Cedge Technologies, demonstrating the meaningful impact that collaborative efforts can create. The joy and enthusiasm witnessed throughout the programme reinforced a simple yet powerful belief: when communities and corporate come together, thoughtful interventions can create lasting change.
At CFTI, we believe that access to education should never be limited by geography. Through Pedals of Hope and partnerships with organisations committed to social impact, we continue to invest in solutions that empower young learners and strengthen rural education ecosystems.
Because sometimes, the journey to a better future begins with two wheels
