Ms. Sonali Mishra, IPS, Director General, RPF Railway Board, visited Alipurduar Division alongwith IG-cum-PCSC NFR and reviewed the security measures for crime prevention. While interacting with Divisional officers, she emphasized on use of modern gadgets, CCTVs and AI based tools for identification of miscreants & crime prevention. Sri Devendra Singh, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Alipurduar Division, conducted a comprehensive inspection today of the ongoing development works at Jalpaiguri Road station under Amrit Station Scheme, along with Bridge Nos. 58 and 59.

He was accompanied by Shri S. Kamei (ADRM), Shri L. N. Gamidi (Sr. DEN/C), Shri Asif Ali (Sr. DCM), Shri Mahipal (Sr. DEN/I), Shri Ratnesh (Sr. DSTE), and other senior officials.

During inspection, team critically reviewed quality and progress of various works at Jalpaiguri Road station being developed under Amrit Bharat Scheme including works in the circulating area, platform surfacing, Foot Over Bridge construction etc.

DRM also thoroughly inspected the guide bund work of Bridge No. 59 over the Jaldhaka River, as well as rebuilding work of Bridge No. 58 between Altagram and Betgara stations. Sri Devendra Singh, Divisional Railway Manager of Alipurduar Division conducted a comprehensive inspection of railway stations between Alipurduar Junction and Hasimara. He was accompanied by Shri Asif Ali (Sr. DCM), Shri Subhankar Roy (Sr. DEN/III), Shri Ratnesh (Sr. DSTE) along with other senior officials.

The inspection team visited Rajabhatkhawa, Garopara Halt, Kalchini, and Hasimara railway stations. Key areas included Station Master panel rooms, circulating areas, passenger amenities, railway colonies, health units and field offices.

Shri Devendra Singh, DRM, Alipurduar alongwith Chief Engineer/Construction, IRCON officials and Branch Officers of Alipurduar Division conducted a detailed inspection of ongoing works of Sivok–Rangpo project on 24.03.2026.

Inspection covered Rangpo, Melli, Teesta Bazar and Ryang stations. Station layouts, passenger amenities, yard planning, work progress, and safety compliance were reviewed, including the tunnel station at Teesta Bazar.
