Centre for Defence Sciences Research & Development OBJECTIVES FOR SOCIAL RELEVANCE OF CDSRD

To create ‘Security Awareness’ in the society through young minds to strengthen societal cohesiveness.

The Centre for Defence Sciences Research & Development (CDSRD) is an autonomous and non-profit, non-political think-tank of Defence Studies registered under Government of India Society Act - 1860 with its registered headquarter at Allahabad, India. To generate a mature and pragmatic outlook towards contemporary problems of strategic environment and consequent security needs. To organise pool of ex

perts on ‘National Security’ and to collaborate and cooperate with IGOs and NGOs working in the field of Defence Sciences (Studies). To offer a forum for integrated development of Defence & Strategic Studies and for constant interaction between military professionals, strategic thinkers and academicians to develop strategic culture. NETWORK

The Centre would endeavour to establish ‘national net-work’ between Centres/Think-Tanks/Organisations pursuing the objectives of national security. STRUCTURE

The Centre is administrated by a Governing Council composed of members elected by the General Body of the Centre as per the rules and regulations detailed in the constitution of the Centre. The Director, appointed by the Governing Council, is the executive head of the Centre, assisted by General Secretary. MEMBERSHIP

The Membership of the Centre shall be open to any Graduate of any recognised university and of Indian nationality, including NRI, who is interested in Defence & Strategic Studies or in the activities of the Centre and undertakes to observe the rules and regulations of the Centre. The Membership of the Centre consists of the following categories: Life Member, Institutional Member, Associate Member and Annual Member. Life Member – Rs. 5000/- (Life Time)

Institutional Member – Rs. 8500/- (For Five Years)

Associate Member – Rs. 1000/- (Per Year)

Annual Member – Rs. 500/- (Per Year)


ACTIVITIES OF THE CENTRE

The Centre is established primarily to study national and international issues pertaining to security and development. The Centre would appreciate and welcome grants/donations from individuals, institutions and organisations for the furtherance of the aims and objectives of the Centre. The Centre undertakes projects/studies sponsored by local, national and international funding agencies.
