ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਡਾ. ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਜਲ੍ਹਿਆਂਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਗ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਦਰੂਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਫਾਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ, 30 ਅਗਸਤ, 2026: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੂਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼, ਹਰਿਆ ਭਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ "ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕਲੀਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ" ਤਹਿਤ, ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਡਾ. ਅਜੇ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਹਲਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਲ੍ਹਿਆਂਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਗ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਦਰੂਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਚਲਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਫਾਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਅੱਜ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਵੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਜੋਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੀ। ਸਫਾਈ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਡਾ. ਅਜੇ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਜਲ੍ਹਿਆਂਵਾਲਾ ਬਾਗ ਵਿਖੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਡਾ. ਅਜੇ ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼, ਹਰਾ-ਭਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਦਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਫਾਈ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਸਫਾਈ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਕੂੜੇ ਦਾ ਨਿਪਟਾਰਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਥਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਹੀ ਕਰਨ, ਤਾਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਡਾ. ਗੁਪਤਾ ਨੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੂੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ ਸੜਕਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸੁੱਟਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਦੇ ਘਰ-ਘਰ ਕੂੜਾ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਡਸਟਬਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟਣ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ, ਪਲਾਸਟਿਕ ਦੇ ਥੈਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ, ਜੋ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਲਈ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਹਨ, ਤੋਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਹੇਜ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਜਤਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਾਟੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ "ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕਲੀਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ" ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਜਨਤਾ ਦਾ ਸਮੂਹਿਕ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ। ਹਰੇਕ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ-ਛੋਟੇ ਯਤਨ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਫ਼, ਸੁੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਰਸ਼ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਜਰਨੈਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਢੋਟ,ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ, ਵਾਰਡ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ, ਸੈਨੀਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।

MLA Dr. Gupta launches cleanliness drive from Jallianwala Bagh to Androon City
Amritsar, August 30, 2026: Under "Mission Clean Punjab," launched by the Punjab Government with the aim of making the state clean, green, and pollution-free, the special cleanliness drive being carried out by MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta in the Amritsar Central Assembly constituency from Jallianwala Bagh to Androon City continued with full vigor for the second day today. Before launching the cleanliness drive, MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta, along with his colleagues, paid obeisance at Jallianwala Bagh, the land of martyrs.
On this occasion, MLA Dr. Ajay Gupta said that keeping the holy city of Amritsar clean, green, and beautiful is our top priority. He added that the administration and the Aam Aadmi Party team are continuously making efforts to further improve the city's appearance. He emphasized that cleanliness is not only the responsibility of the Municipal Corporation, but also a shared responsibility of every citizen. If citizens maintain cleanliness around them and dispose of garbage only in designated areas, Amritsar can be made even cleaner and more beautiful.
MLA Dr. Gupta appealed to the citizens to dispose of garbage in the Municipal Corporation's door-to-door garbage collection vehicles or designated dustbins instead of throwing it in the open or on the streets. Furthermore, the use of plastic bags, which pose a serious threat to the environment, should be completely avoided.
On this occasion, Mayor Jitendra Singh Bhatia said that the collective cooperation of the Municipal Corporation and the general public is crucial to making "Mission Clean Punjab" a success. Even small efforts by every citizen can significantly contribute to developing our holy city of Amritsar into a clean, beautiful, and ideal city. Present on the occasion were Councillor Jarnail Singh Dhot, Aam Aadmi Party's Amritsar Lok Sabha in-charge, Aam Aadmi Party block in-charges, ward in-charges, sanitation officers, and staff.
