ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰੋਂ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਡਿਊਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਦੋ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ 2.225 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ, 6 ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ ਅਤੇ 12 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।

ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਤੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੰਡਣ ਲਈ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਦੀ ਖੇਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਥਾਣਾ ਛੇਹਰਟਾ ਅਤੇ ਛਾਉਣੀ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਐਫ.ਆਈ.ਆਰ. ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਗਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ।

Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused were in contact with cross-border smugglers and were allegedly receiving consignments of he**in for further distribution to criminal elements in .

FIRs have been registered at PS Chheharta and PS Cantonment, . Further investigation is underway to establish forward and backward linkages and identify other members associated with the network.

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ, ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਾਡਿਊਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਤਿੰਨ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ, 5 ਪਿਸਤੌਲ (.32 ਬੋਰ), 9 ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ ਅਤੇ 22 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।

ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਾਡਿਊਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੈਰ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ। ਬੱਸ ਸਟੈਂਡ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਨੇੜੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤੀ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਰਾਗਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਭੈਣੀ ਪਸਵਾਲ ਨੇੜੇ ਛੁਪਾਏ ਗਏ ਚਾਰ ਹੋਰ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ, ਅੱਠ ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ ਅਤੇ 18 ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੇ।

ਅਗਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ।

Preliminary investigation reveals that the module is involved in illegal arms smuggling within Punjab. Acting on leads developed after the initial arrest near Bus Stand Jalandhar, police teams recover four more pistols, eight magazines, and 18 live cartridges concealed near Village Bhaini Paswal in Gurdaspur district.

Further investigation is underway to establish both backward and forward linkages and completely dismantle the entire illegal arms network.
