On the eve of Eid-ul-Adha, the Executive Officer of Municipal Committee Dooru Verinag, Mohammad Iqbal conducted an extensive visit to the Eidgahs at Dooru and Verinag to inspect the sanitation measures and other necessary arrangements being undertaken for the convenience and facilitation of devotees.
During the inspection, the Executive Officer reviewed the overall preparedness with regard to cleanliness, waste management, availability of essential civic amenities, and deployment of manpower to ensure a hygienic and orderly environment for Eid congregations. Directions were issued to the concerned field staff to maintain proper sanitation standards and ensure timely completion of all arrangements ahead of the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

In view of the forthcoming auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the sanitation team of Municipal Committee Dooru-Verinag conducted a special cleanliness drive at EidGah Kabamarg to ensure proper sanitation and a clean environment for the devotees.
The drive included sweeping of the EidGah premises, collection and disposal of waste, cleaning of surrounding areas, and other sanitation measures to facilitate smooth arrangements for Eid prayers.

Establishment of “Waste to Wonder Park” by Municipal Committee Dooru-Verinag
Municipal Committee Dooru-Verinag is taking a progressive step towards environmental sustainability and urban beautification through the establishment of a “Waste to Wonder Park”. The initiative aims to transform discarded scrap, metal waste, tyres, pipes, and other reusable materials into creative sculptures, artistic installations, seating spaces, and eco-friendly attractions for the public.
Inspired by successful “Waste to Wonder” projects developed by municipal bodies across India, the park will promote the concept of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle while spreading awareness regarding scientific waste management and environmental conservation. �

On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, all residents of Dooru-Verinag are hereby informed that special sanitation and waste management arrangements have been made for the proper disposal of animal offal, hides/skins, and other sacrificial waste to ensure cleanliness and public hygiene in the town.
🚛 Special Collection Vehicles Deployed
Dedicated vehicles have been deployed by the Municipal Committee for the timely collection and safe disposal of sacrificial waste from different localities.
✅ Citizens are requested to:
• Dispose of offal and animal waste only through designated collection vehicles.
• Avoid throwing waste in open spaces, drains, roadsides, rivers, or public places.
• Keep animal hides/skins at designated collection points or hand them over to authorized collectors.
• Cooperate with sanitation staff to maintain cleanliness and hygiene during Eid celebrations.
