In a recent development, US President Donald Trump has declared a cessation of military operations, opening up possibilities for diplomatic negotiations. The US and Iran have mutually agreed on a ceasefire, and Israel has also consented to halt its attack. The ceasefire is expected to remain in effect for two weeks. Additional talks are scheduled to be held in Pakistan. "I agree to postpone bombing and attack on Iran for two weeks," Trump posted on Truth Social, describing it as a move towards a widespread ceasefire.

Grand M***i Nasir-ul-Islam has announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir, as the crescent was not sighted on Thursday. The announcement was made after Maghrib prayers, bringing an end to the uncertainty in the Valley. According to the Grand M***i, the official moon-sighting committee did not receive any credible reports of moon sighting. The committee, comprising Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, confirmed the decision after reviewing reports from various districts. Consequently, Muslims across J&K will celebrate Eid on Saturday.
