On World Cancer Day, 4th February 2026 the *Naval Cadets* of *The Bhawanipur Education Society College*, under *2 Bengal Naval Unit, Kolkata C Gp Hq*, organised a meaningful awareness program in loving memory of our beloved *Cadet Akash Prajapati*, whom we recently lost to blood cancer.
The day began with a heartfelt remembrance of *Cdt Akash Prajapati* — his passion for NCC, his dream to join the Armed Forces. Cdr Mrinmoy Ghosh, Commanding Officer, 2 Bengal Naval Unit NCC, CTO Aritrica Dubey, and all the cadets observed a moment of silence followed by wreath laying ceremony and sharing stories of Akash’s dedication, courage, and kindness.
The seminar, conducted by the NGO *Blood Connect*, was dedicated to educating everyone about:-

✨ *Do’s and don’ts of donating blood*
✨ *Thalassemia and Leukaemia awareness*
Cancer touches too many lives, but together — through awareness, compassion, and action — we can make a difference. Let’s stand united in hope and support for survivors, fighters, and families affected by cancer. 💪🎗
