Cloud Brust in Sangla, Surankote, Poonch

A heavy cloudburst in village Darra Sangla has caused massive destruction. The river has breached its banks and changed its course, flooding agricultural lands and washing away 10 to 15 Gharats (local flour mills / Aata Chakkis) 8-10 Bridges washes away, also causing damage to the houses nearby river banks.

Heartbreakingly, as per preliminary information 4 people are currently missing and their whereabouts are unknown.

Praying for everyone's safety in the area and hoping for a swift rescue operation. 🙏 Please stay safe and away from the riverbanks.

I’m walking away with invaluable insights on scaling grassroots impact and a strengthened commitment to building sustainable, community-led growth it's time to take these lessons from the conclave back to the field! 🇮🇳🌱
