Police station Hajin recieved a written complaint from one person namely Ishafq Ahmad Khan R/o Bun Mohalla Hajin that her wife namely Sheeraza Begum ,Age about 25 years R/o Bon Mohallah Hajin,mother of three children is missing since 22/02/2022.The said lady had went to Hajin market for some domestic work and didn't return back and till now the said lady couldn't be traced out.
In this regard Bandipora police seeks help of general public to trace the missing women.

Bandipora 25 February 2022:
On 23-02-2022 ,police station Bandipora recieved a complaint from one Farooq Ahmad Mir R/o Nadihal alleging that an unknown person fraudently exchanged his ATM Card while he was at an ATM in Bandipora to withdraw some cash and the accused has withdrawn an amount of Rs 30,000 from the complainant's account.
In this regard Case FIR No.30 /2022 under relevant sections was registered in police station Bandipora and further investigation taken up.
A team headed by SHO PS Bandipora under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora was constituted and during the course of investigation few suspects were zeroed in and with technical support and Identification parade was held of some suspects.
During Identification Parade, one suspect person namely Khalid Ramzan Mir S/o Mohd Ramzan Mir R/o Kaloosa Bandipora was identified by the complainant and the accused confessed to have committed the crime and on his disclosure an amount of Rs 23,000 and two ATM cards were recovered from the house of the accused.The Accused was arrested and further investigation of the Case is going on.

Bandipora 15 Feb.2022:
Police Station Bandipora received a specific information through reliable sources that two persons namely Shameem Ahmad Mir S/o Jamaal Mir R/o New Colony Ajas and Ahsan-ul Haq S/o Noor Mohd Jan R/O Jan Mohallah Ajas have concealed a large quantity of Narcotic Substances in the residential house of one person namely Rizwan Ahmad Khan S/o Reyaz Ahmad Khan R/o Panzigam Bandipora. Accordingly Case FIR NO.22/2022 NDPS Act was registered in police station Bandipora and investigation taken up.
Acting on this information a police party headed by SHO P/S Bandipora under the supervision of DySP HQRS Bandipora accompanied by Executive Magistrate Bandipora ,raided the residential house and during search 56 bottles of banned Psychotropic substance Codeine Phosphate were recovered from the said residential house and the two accused persons Shameem Ahmad Mir and Ahsan-ul Haq were arrested on spot.However house owner Rizwan Ahmad Khan S/o Reyaz Ahmad Khan R/o Panzigam fled away from spot and efforts are on to nab him.Further investigation of the instant Case is going on.

Bandipora 09 February 2022:
Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs and illicit liquor, Bandipora Police today arrested two bootleggers at Wullar Vantage Garoora and recovered illicit liquor from their possession.
Acting on a specific information a police party led by SHO P/S Argam Insp.Masood ul Hassan under the supervision of DySP PC Bandipora Shri Faizan Ali (JKPS) established a Naka at Wullar Vantage Garoora Aragam.During naka checking, a Scooty bearing registration number JK15A- 4850 was signalled to stop and during checking of the said vehicle, two suspicious persons were found to be carrying 14 illicit liquor bottles in the said vehicle.
The individuals were detained and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized. The accused have been identified as Sajad Ahmad Beigh @ Shahzad S/O Gh Mohd Beigh and Mohd Mustafa Beigh S/O Ab Rashid both residents of Guzarbal Bankoot Bandipora.
During Preliminary enquiry, it came to surface that the illicit liquor was meant for sale in the general area of Bandipora.
Upon this case FIR no. 01/2022 under relevant sections of Excise act has been registered in Police station Argam and further investigation taken up.

Bandipora 02-02-2022:-
Bandipora police recieved a specific information regarding movement of timber smugglers in Aloosa area.
Acting on this information a police party led by I/C PP Aloosa SI Mohmmad Mushtaq under Supervision of DySP Hqrs Bandipora, laid a surprise naka at Aloosa chowk. During checking one vehicle bearing registration no JK01K-4964 was stopped and during checking large quantity of illicit forest timber was recovered from said vehicle. The accused who is a notorious timber smuggler identified as Mudasir Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Yousf Dar R/o Illahipora Aloosa has been arrested on spot and vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
In this regard case FIR under relevant sections of IPC and Forest Act has been registered in police station Bandipora. Further investigation of the Case is going on.

Bandipora police continuity it's drive against the menace of drugs and other contraband substances today arrested two bootleggers at Pazalpora Pethkote and recovered illicit liquor from their possession.
Acting on a specific information a police party led by SHO P/S Pethkoot Insp.Tanveer Ahmed under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Bandipora Dr.Mohd Idrees Wani JKPS established Naka at Pazalpora near forest Check Post.During checking a vehicle bearing registration number JK01K-9517 was signalled to stop and during checking of the said vehicle two suspicious persons were arrested, who were carrying 15 illegal liquor bottles in the said vehicle.The vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
The accused have been identified as Reyaz Ahmad Ganie S/o Mohd Ramzan Ganie R/o Ayatmulla , and Javaid Ahmad Ahanger S/o Abdul Rahman R/o Bankoot. During Preliminary enquiry it was revealed that the accused were supplying liquor to the youths of area to make them liquor Addict. Upon this case FIR no.03/2022 under relevant sections of Excise act has been registered in Police station Pethkote and further investigation has been taken up.

Bandipora police continuing its war against the menace of drugs today arrested a drug peddler at Aloosa and recovered contraband drugs from his possession.
Acting on a specific information regarding movement of drugs peddlers ,a police party led by I/C Police Post Aloosa PSI Mohd Mushtaq, under the supervision of DYSP HQRs Bandipora Shri Mohammad Idrees -JKPS laid a surprise naka at Kanbathi Kehnusa and during checking suspicious movement of a person was noticed and he was apprehended and upon his personal search 1190 tablets of Manzipam 0.25 , 56 Capsules of Spasmoparyvon and Charas weighing about 50 grams were recovered from his possession.
The accused has been identified as wassem Raja Reshi S/o Nazir Ahmad Reshi R/o Kehnusa Bandipora. Accordingly Case FIR under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in police station Bandipora and further investigation has been taken up.

Bandipora police continuing its war against the menace of drugs today arrested a drug peddler near SK Stadium Bandipora and recovered contraband drugs from his possession.
Acting on a specific information regarding movement of a drug peddlers a special naka was laid near SK Stadium Bandipora by a police team led by SHO Ps Bandipora under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shri Mohammad Idrees-JKPS. During checking one suspicious person was arrested and during search 112 Capsules of psychotropic drug Proxywell Spas were recovered.The accused person has been identified as Aamir Bashir Baba S/o Bashir Ahmad Baba R/o Nowpora Bandipora.
During preliminary enquiry it was revealed that the accused were supplying drugs to youths of the area to make them drug addicts. Accordingly Case FIR No.05/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in police station Bandipora and further investigation has been taken up.

On 04/01/2022, a written complaint received by Police Station Bandipora stating therein that a Motor Cycle bearing reg. No. Jk19-7354 Model 2019 has been stolen by some unknown persons and concealed at some unknown location.
In this regard,Case FIR No. 03/2022 U/S 379 IPC was registered in PS Bandipora and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation 03 suspects namely 1.Sameer Ahmad Sheikh S/O Reyaz Ahmad 2.Abrar Ahmad Rather S/O Mohd Hussain 3.Zameer Ahmad Akhoon S/O Zahoor Ahmad all residents of Kaloosa Bandipora were zeroed in and were brought to P/S for questioning. During thorough questioning the suspected persons disclosed that they have stolen the motor cycle bearing No. Jk19-7354 and sold it to one Mechanic Jafar Shafi Bhat S/O Mohd Shafi R/O Safapora, who runs a motor cycle repairing shop at Safapora.The said Mechanic person has turned the motor cycle into parts to conceal the actual position of Motor bike which were later on recovered by Police Station Bandipora. All the accused have been arrested in the instant case and more disclosures are expected.

Bandipora police continuing its war against the menace of drugs arrested a drug peddler during naka at Nowpora chowk and recovered contraband drugs from his possession.
Acting on a specific information regarding movement of a drug peddlers a special naka was laid at Nowpora chowk by a police team led by SHO Ps Bandipora Inspector Rayees Ahmad under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shri Mohammad Idrees-JKPS. During checking one suspicious person was arrested and during search 28 Strips of contraband drug Proxywell Spas & Sposmoproxyvan Plus were recovered.The accused person identified as Ghulam Mustafa Fafoo S/o Ghulam Nabi Fafoo R/o Ashtango Ghat was arrested.
During preliminary enquiry it was revealed that the accused were supplying drugs to youths of the area to make them drug addicts. Accordingly Case FIR No.02/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in police station Bandipora and further investigation has been taken up.

Bandipora Police continuing its public reach out programme today organised an interactive meeting with general public of Arin and other adjoining areas.This is first public meeting conducted by Bandipora police in the area since 90's,as the area has been the hub of militancy.The meeting was chaired by SSP Bandipora, Shri. Mohammad Zahid-JKPS accompanied by Addl. SP Bandipora Shri. Ashiq Hussain Tak-JKPS, DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shri Mohmmad Idrees-JKPS,SHO PS Bandipora were also present on the occasion.
The interactive meet was attended by PRI's,respectables,civil society members and general public of Arin,Kudara, Shokbaba,Sumlar and other adjoining areas.The participants highlighted several issues faced by general public.
SSP Bandipora addressing the participants assured them full cooperation in resolving the genuine problems faced by them after takeing them with concerned authorities.He sought their cooperation in maintaining peace & stability in the area and appealed general public / civil society members to help police in identifying such elements so that strict action under law could be initiated against them.The interactive meeting was also addressed by Addl. Bandipora police in a series of events commemorating the Martyrs of J&K Police, today organised a debate competition at Space Age Model Higher Secondary Institute Kaloosa Bandipora on the topic ' *Role of Police In Society & Nation Building*
On the occasion SSP Bandipora Shri Mohmmad Zahid-JKPS,ASP Bandipora Shri Ashiq Hussain Tak-JKPS, DYSP DAR Bandipora Shri Ishfaq Alam,Patron Mehboobul Alam Group of Education Prof. Mohmmad Ismail Ashna, Chairman Mehboob ul Alam College of Education Mohmad Ramzan Bhat and other guests were also present.
In the debate competition a large number of students participated and presented their views / thoughts on the topic.The participants highlighted various positive roles played by police in society be it law enforcement or controlling of various social crimes,besides highlighted the contribution of police martyrs who laid their lives in ensuring a peacefull atmosphere for future generations.
On this occasion, SSP Bandipora in his address to the gathering said that the role of police in todays society is multidimensional and J&K police is one of the most professional police force in the country to fullfill the expectations of the society.He further said that speedy modernisation is happening in police organisation with time to make it more & more professional and people friendly.The event was also addressed by ASP Bandipora, DYSP DAR Bandipora and Patron Mehboob Ul Alam Group of Education.

Bandipora police continuing its war against the menace of drugs arrested a drug peddler at Mangnipora crossing and recovered a large consignment of contraband drugs from his possession.
Acting on a specific information regarding movement of a drug peddlers a special naka was laid at Mangnipora Crossing by a police team led by SHO Ps Bandipora Inspector Showkat Ahmad & I/C PP Aloosa SI Shakeel Ahmad under the supervision of DYSP HQRS Bandipora Shri Mohammad Idrees-JKPS. During checking one suspicious person riding a motorcycle bearing registration No. JK05B- 2912 was signalled to stop and on search 2800 Capsules of contraband drug Sposmo Peryvon & 32 Capsules of Teemi Spas were recovered.The driver of the motorcycle identified as Abdul Lateef Rather S/o Mohmad Munwar Rather R/o Gamroo Bandipora manged to escape and the pillion rider person namely Ishfaq Ahmad S/o Ab Rashid Rather R/o Madar Bandipora was apprehended & search has been launcher to nab the other accused.The motorcycle used in the commission of crime has been seized.
During preliminary enquiry it was revealed that the accused were supplying drugs to youths of the area to make them drug addicts. Accordingly Case FIR under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in police station Bandipora and further investigation has been taken up.
