Today on 24th of December, 2022, District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in Coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Sumbal and in Collaboration with Rural Development Department (Block Hajin) under the Chairmanship of Mr. Amit Sharma Chairman DLSA (Pr. District and Session Judge) Bandipora and under the guidance of Ms. Nusrat Ali Hakak Secretary DLSA Bandipora Organized Legal awareness program on “National Consumer Day” under the theme (Fair Digital Finance) at Legal Aid Clinic (Panchayat Ghar Madwan Hajin).
Advocate Tasleema Jan (Panel Lawyer TLSC Sumbal) appointed as resource person delivered speech on the said topic. She said that National Consumer Day is celebrated to make people aware about the rights of consumers. She also aware the gathering about consumer rights under Consumer Protection Act and how to save themselves from many market exploitation like different pricing and getting different or defective products.
The participants were also educated of the facilities that the government is making for the consumers.

Shahnaz Qazmi PLV of Tehsil Legal Services Committee Sumbal delivered speech on the said topic. The Scheme is aimed at ensuring access to justice to the Tribal People in India. Access to justice would be facilitated in all its connotations, i.e., access to rights, benefits, legal aid, other legal services , etc., so that the assurance of the Constitution of justice, social, economic and political, is meaningfully experienced by the tribal population in the country

District & Session Judge Bandipora) Mr. Amit Sharma. The First Bench was presided over by Mr. Amit Sharma (Pr. District & Session Judge Bandipora) and Mr. Khursheed ul Islam, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Bandipora acted as Member. Second Bench was presided over by Mr. Abdul Qayoom Mir, (Sub-Judge/ CJM Bandipora) and Ms. Shayesta Nazir, Munsiff/JMIC (Chairman TLSC) Bandipora acted as a Member. One Day Legal Awareness Programme on Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2007 (MWPSC Act 2007) for Judicial Functionaries to promote “Inter-Generational Bonding and Ageing with Dignity” was organized by National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India and Anugraha Regional Resource Training Center on Ageing, Delhi (RRTC Anugraha) in collaboration with J&K Legal Services Authority and District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora on 07th December, 2022 at Conference Hall Dak Bunglow Irrigation Colony Sumbal.
The programme was conducted under the Chairmanship of Mr. Amit Sharma Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Session Judge) Bandipora, and supervision of Ms. Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, and Bandipora.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Amit Sharma, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Session Judge) Bandipora, along with Ms. Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora, Ms. Bazila Bashir Chairman, TLSC (Munsiff) Sumbal, Mr. Bashir Ah. Lone Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Sumbal, SDPO of Police, Sumbal, SHO Sumbal, Tehsildar Sumbal, President, Bar Association, Sumbal along with Bar Members, & Other Officers.
Ms. Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora delivered welcome address and highlighted on the need of this programme. She said that the theme of this program is to create awareness about various issues of Senior Citizens and to promote Inter-generational Bonding and Ageing with Dignity. She also made the gathering aware about the rights and facilities that are available to the Parents & Senior Citizens under this Act. In the end she said that the programmes like this would definitely change our perception how we all deal with this important section of our society.

Chief Guest Mr. Amit Sharma (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Bandipora delivered inaugural address and said that the key objective of this program is to create awareness and sensitivity about various issues of senior citizens. He said that Senior Citizens are increasingly facing a variety of hardships in day to day life with respect to their basic life requirements including food, shelter, clothes, health problems, financial problems etc., mostly due to negligence and I’ll treatment of their children. He advised the Judicial Officers, Advocates and PLVs to address the basic issues of elderly population including parents and senior citizens along with remedial measures within the mandate of this Act.
The programme was divided in Four Sessions. In the First Session Adv. Aabid Hussain Malla acted as resource person and delivered a lecture on Maintenance & Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens. In the Second Session Adv. Nazia Parveen acted as resource person and highlighted on the General Rights of Parents and Senior Citizens. In the Third & Fourth Session Adv. Irshad Ahmad laid emphasis on Inter-Generational Bonding and Ageing with Dignity and Adv. Tasleema Jan delivered lecture on Awareness regarding Elder Abuse and how to stop it, respectively.
Vote of thanks was delivered by the Ms. Bazila Bashir Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee (Munsiff/JMIC), Sumbal.

The speakers delivered speech on the said topic. They highlighted the importance of Fundamental Duties enlisted in the Constitution of India. They also made the students aware of their social and economic obligations to warn them to do and not to do certain things in the interest of their country, fellow citizens, and themselves. They also explained the Need for the constitution, History of constitution, People behind Constitution of India, Role of Judiciary in Constitution, Procedure for amending constitution, Basic rights and responsibilities of Indian citizen as per our constitution, Preamble of constitution, Challenges for Constitution of India. The speaker read out the preamble and explained the history and story behind it. A painting, slogan writing competition was also held the above said institutions.

As per plan of action and calendar of activities for the month of November, 2022, District Legal Services Authority Bandipora, under the guidance of chairmanship of Mr. Amit Sharma Pr. District and Session Judge, Bandipora and supervision of Ms. Nusrat Ali Hakak Secretary DLSA Bandipora celebrated Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas) today on 26th November, 2022 at District Court Complex Bandipora.
Chairman DLSA (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Bandipora along with Additional District Judge Mr. Khursheed ul Islam and Chief Judicial Magistrate Bandipora Mr. Abdul Qayoom Mir read preamble of constitution of India.
(It is a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic with a parliamentary system of government. The Republic is governed in terms of the Constitution of India which was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November, 1949 and came into force on 26th January, 1950).

As per Plan of Action and Calendar of Activities for the month of November, 2022 District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Sumbal and in collaboration with Education Department Bandipora celebrated Children’s Day at New Greenland Sec. School inderkoot Sumbal today on 14th November, 2022
Speaking at the event, Adv. Abid Hussain Malla Resource Person spoke on the significance of this day, that this day projects the rights of the children so that they are not being deprived of their privileges. He spoke on various legal aid schemes and the functioning of Legal Aid Clinics and PLV’s. He urged the students to make their friends, families and villagers aware of these schemes. Various provisions of POCSO Act and fundamental rights and duties and law as a career were also highlighted by the resource person.
Pr. New Greenland Sec. School Sumbal in his address motivated the children and advised them to work hard to reach their goals. He said them that everybody expects from you to bring about radical transformations in the country and also in the world by devising means for development and prosperity for all human beings, by shunning any of the discrimination in the name of caste, colour and creed.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks expressed by Pr. New Greenland Sec. School Sumbal, to the participants.

As per action plan and calendar of for the month of November, 2022, National Lok Adalat has been organized in the District Court Complex Bandipora today on 12/11/2022. A total of four benches were constituted for the said Lok Adalat. Of the four benches, First Bench was presided over by Mr. Sunil Sangra, I/C Pr. District & Sessions Judge Bandipora and Mr. Khursheed Ul Islam, Addl. District & Sessions Judge Bandipora. The Second Bench was presided over by Mr. Abdul Qayoom Mir, CJM/Sub/ Judge Bandipora. As per Plan of Action and Calendar of Activities for the month of November, 2022, District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Committees and in collaboration with Education Department Bandipora celebrated National Education Day at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Dawar Gurez today on 11th November, 2022 to commemorate birth anniversary of the first Education Minister of Independence India Abul Kalam Azad.
The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Mohammad Younis Lone Pr. Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Dawar. In his inaugural address he delivered speech on the importance of this day and the contribution of Abul Kalam Azad and his significant work in the field of Indian Education System. In the event the speakers delivered talks on the Vision of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Relevance to the Global Knowledge Power. They also emphasized sustainability development, the spirit of enquiry, creativity, moral leadership, National Educational Policy, and commitment towards teaching and the importance of teacher educators. In the course of event it was also mentioned that we have to reform our responsibility as teachers, as scholars and as participants working in the field of education to take this vision ahead. Speakers explained the significant points in national education policies and how today education is the contribution of the great leaders of our nation. It was also mentioned institution of education cannot be created without the proper vision, commitment, values, and ethics.

District Legal services Authority Bandipora organized National Legal Services Day in District Court. complex Bandipora today on 9th of Nov. 2022 and is observed to mark the beginning of the Legal Services Authorities Act, of 1987, which came into effect in 1995.
Every year on November 9th, all state authorities celebrate Legal Services Day. Numerous locations in the nation's capital city still host a variety of legal literacy camps and events. Participating in the tasks and camps related to Legal Services Day are individuals from both governmental and non-governmental organizations.
The aim of celebrating Legal Services Day is to offer no-fee legal services across the country to the weaker sections of people which may be women, disabled persons, Scheduled Tribes, children, Scheduled Castes, human trafficking victims as well as natural calamities victims.Lok Adalats are also organized to make the legal system operations sound and encourage the righteousness of people on an equal basis. Also, the legal message conveyed by the government authorities is to provide free legal services as their legal right. It has also been noted that this service is free legal aid which is not associated with the charity.

The programme was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora Mr. Waseem Raja alongwith DySP. Today on 20.10.2022, District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in collaboration with Education Department Bandipora under the guidance of Chairmanship of Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Wani (Pr. District & Session Judge) Bandipora organized an Awareness programme on Legal Services to Differently Abled Children under Scheme, 2021, at Conference Hall Mini Secretariat DC Office Bandipora.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Owais Ahmad, District Development Commissioner, Bandipora along with Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Wani ,Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Session Judge) Bandipora, Mr. Abdul Quyoom Mir Chief Judicial Magistrate Bandipora, Ms. Fariqa Nazir, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora, Chairman TLSC (Munsiff) Bandipora, Chief Education Officer, Bandipora, Chief Prosecution Officer, Bandipora, DySP of Police, Bandipora, President, Bar Association, Bandipora. At the outset, Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Wani (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Bandipora delivered inaugural address and said that the aim of today’s programme is to create awareness in the community about differently-abled people and how to deal with the issue and how to be sensitive to people with disability also said that such special Awareness Camps be organized towards the betterment of Differently Abled Children.
After the inaugural address a singing competition was held in which 09 disabled students took part to demonstrate their skill. The competition was judged by Mr. Showkat Ahmad Sheikh (Teacher), Mr. Sajad Ahmad Malik (Teacher) and Mr. Feroz Iqbal (Teacher). The jury decided the top position winners of the participants who participated in the competition.
On the occasion Dr. Owais Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, addressed the gathering and highlighted the healthcare issues of the disabled children and said that despite improvement in the health care system of the country, the situation of differently abled children remains deplorable, particularly in rural areas and among the lower socio-economic population. Differently abled children in India are subjected to multiple deprivations and limited opportunities in several dimensions of their lives. Some of these include, not being enrolled to schools, lower employment rates, limited awareness of entitlements and services available and lack of social welfare support. Dr. Owais also stressed on the promotion primary and higher education of the Visually Impaired, Disabled and Underprivileged children.
Mr. Fariqa Nazir Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora delivered speech on constitutional and fundamental rights of the Differently Abled Children and highlighted the various legal benefits that can be provided to Differently Abled Children under the Scheme, 2021 for Disabled Children. At the end Secretary District Legal Services Authority expressed thanks to the Officers, officials, students, and other staff members for participation and making this event successful.
The programme was concluded with prize distribution, Certificates and medals among the participants. Prizes were distributed by Mr. Ibrahim Wani, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Mr. Quyoom Ahmad, Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bandipora, Mrs. Fariqa Nazir, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Bandipora and other Officers.
The programme was anchored by Adv. Shoaib Ahmad Diwani and the programme was attended by Panel Lawyers, Staff Members of Education Department Bandipora, Staff members of DLSA Bandipora, PLVs and other civil society members.

In connection with the Mission for Protection and Empowerment of Women District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in collaboration with District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti, Bandipora under the guidance of Chairmanship of Mr. Mohammad Ibrahim Wani (Pr. District & Session Judge) Bandipora and supervision of Ms. Fariqa Nazir Secretary District Legal Services Authority Bandipora conducted an Awareness Programme on Empowerment of Women today on 1st October-2022, at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, Bandipora.
Adv. Tasleema Jan Panel Lawyers was appointed as resource persons. On the occasion the speaker said that the main objective of the said programme is to ensure the implementation of regulation geared towards the welfare and enhancement of the status of women and to educate the public on the rights of women and the means of enforcing such rights for achievements of equality, development and peace.
In the programme, stress was given on the need for women empowerment as one of the most significant needs of the hour and the ways in which women can be empowered. She said that People should be united together to make the reality of the women empowerment and steps should be taken towards their empowerment. Education should be provided and encouraged so that more women can be literate. The education that they receive is going to help them pursue what they want to pursue. At the end the speaker expressed thanks to all the participants for participating in the programme.
The programme was attended by Teachers, Sarpanchs/ Panchs, Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers, PLVs, students and other staff members of concerned departments.
