Arya Samaja Bengaluru Arya Samaj is a Socio Religious Society of people who mean to be good and to do good to others. Arya samaj was first founded on April 7th, 1875 in Lahore.

In 19th century India witnessed a great social, spiritual, influential and transforming movement by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati Ji in the name of Arya Samaj. Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati Ji gave a revolutionary message to eradicate superstition and social evils. He advocated that godly knowledge of Vedas is for all human beings irrespective of caste, creed, or race. He gave a slogan “Go back to Vedas”. He wrote an immortal book “Satyarth Prakash”, i.e., the light of truth to awaken the society. By taking inspiration from Maharshi Dayanand Ji, his thousands of disciples actively participated in freedom fight of India. We see a lot of influence of Maharshi’s preachings in all parts of India and in many countries of the world. Swaraj (Independence) Swadeshi (Indigenous) Swabhasha (own language) were initially pronounced by Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati Ji. Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati Ji will always be remembered for their innumerable works like girl education, Vedas for all, equal education for all, welfare of orphans, eradication of casteism, Hindi language, cow protection, developed agriculture, widow remarriage, gurukul education system, etc. Now it is our utmost duty to fulfill the dream of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati Ji “KRINVANTO VISHWAMARYAM”, i.e., to make the whole world noble. Arya Samaj Mandir, V V Puram Bengaluru was built and named as 'Shraddananda bhavan' in the memory of Swami Shraddanandaji who provided a solid foundation to Arya samaj in Bangalore.
