Vikasana Vikasana is a student club promoting social work and responsible living in the IIMB community.

Vikasana is the social service initiative undertaken by the students of IIM Bangalore. It is constituted to work towards the benefit of society, by undertaking activities where students can contribute their skills. Started in 1990, with the aim to provide an in campus education for the children of the construction workers at IIM Bangalore, Team Vikasana has grown by leaps and bounds. Successive ba

tches of students, with the help of dedicated faculty, have carried this baton forward by taking on new responsibilities and new endeavors, thus keeping the vision of Vikasana going.

Glimpses from the ninth edition of ODAI (One Day at IIMB), conducted by Vikasana, the Social Impact Club of IIMB.
Candidates got the chance to experience an enriching virtual day at IIMB consisting of sessions by Prof. Vasanthi Srinivasan, Prof. Rakesh Godhwani, and Prof. Sai Chittaranjan Kalubandi, followed by a CAT and WAT/PI mentoring session by the first-year MBA students at IIMB. Proceeds from the event were donated to the Sparsha Trust, which is an NGO working towards children's education and development.

Vikasana, the social club of IIM Bangalore, in collaboration with Vista successfully organized our flagship case competition Sparsh with the NGO Karunashraya which observed 960+ registrations and 344 participating teams. Congratulations to the winning teams who were judged by respectable Mr. Mathew George Chandy (CEO, Karunashraya), Prof. Sourav Mukherjee (OB & HRM, IIM Bangalore) and Mr. Srikanth Prabhu (Portfolio Manager, Social Alpha). SocialPact is an event that aims to help connect NGO with Corporates/Investors to create Social Impact. A total of 11 NGOs participated in the final round and got a chance to present their work with our Jury consisting of Ms. Archana Pillai, Resident Mentor NSRCEL, IIMB, Mr. Nagaraja Prakasam, Social Impact Investor and Ms. Ambika Jugran, Engagement Manager Consulting.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation Cell, IIM Bangalore in association with Vikasana brings to you SocialPact, an event to bring together Corporates and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) towards making an impact in the social sector.

SocialPact provides a platform for Corporates to gain access to NGOs which are filtered through suitable evaluation. It provides an opportunity to identify and collaborate with the NGOs to make a sustainable social impact. NGOs and social communities need to submit a pitch deck highlighting the working model that will help Corporates and Investors fund them in their endeavors as a part of CSR activity.
