From a simple tool that help children with intellectual disabilities tie their shoelaces, to adaptations that help a wheelchair user cut coconuts and run his business independently—and everything in between.

And we want to see more of them!

Did you know superheroes have their own sign names in Indian Sign Language?

When you ask a Deaf person their name, they'll probably show you a sign.

For example, holding your right index and middle fingers together and tapping them on the back of your left fist is the sign name of our Deaf colleague, Tushar. If you card your fingers through your hair, that’s the sign name of another Deaf colleague Deepak.

These sign names often have a connection to a person's personality, appearance, or something that makes them unique

We wanted to showcase the richness of Indian Sign Language through the sign names of some popular superheroes.

Many more individuals like Mansoor have worked on challenges that matter to their communities (with guidance from mentors at EnAble India!) through the CPRise program. It is designed to empower persons with cerebral palsy to become self-advocates, leaders, and changemakers.

But that’s not all we do. We host community dialogues that bring together people with cerebral palsy from across India—to share experiences, discuss challenges, meet like-minded individuals, or just simply chat.

According to Dr. V. Anantha Nageswaran, Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, the total addressable market for disability inclusion is estimated at USD 150 billion, or nearly 4% of India's GDP.

Here’s a fun fact for you, the foot reflexologist shown in the video is a person with low vision. His name is Vimal and he just recenlty finished his training to be a foot reflexologist!

Self-care looks different for everyone. Sometimes, it's a long nap. Sometimes, it's your favourite comfort food. And sometimes, it's giving your feet the care they deserve.

Foot reflexology is a therapeutic wellness practice that uses targeted pressure on the feet to support relaxation, circulation, and overall wellness.

We're excited to introduce our newest foot reflexologists with vision impairment and low vision, who have successfully completed their training under the guidance of Dr. Ashwini from Nived Health Care and are now ready to begin their professional journey. Vimal is one of the first students from the first batch.

And if you're already picturing yourself at a spa, unwinding while your feet get some much-needed pampering, we've got good news—we're bringing that experience to you.

Whether it's your office, apartment community, workplace, or event, you can host a foot reflexology camp by simply sending us a DM. We'd love to bring a little wellness to your space.
