The Officers Model Colony (OMC) is among the oldest localities in T-Darasahalli, Bengaluru. People from different parts of the country call OMC their home & have provided a multi-cultural feel to the society. Hello residents,
If you need to add a member of your family/ remove a member of your family from the ration card, please go to Jubilant Cyber Cafe located in Kaliamma Road, T.Dasarahalli
You will be given a form which needs to be filled in Kannada. All you need to take is your existing ration card, original current bill and gas receipt.
Once you fill the form, an individual photo of every family member who are listed in the form will be taken. Also your left thumb finger would be scanned and recorded.
An acknowledgement receipt would be given once the formality is done.
Later you need to attach the below docs,
1) Address proof,
2) Property tax reciept (if own house) / rental agrrement (if residing in a rented house)
3) Birth Certificate / SSLC marks card copy
4) Form which you had filled along with the acknowledgemnt receipt
submit it to the Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd, Vyalikaval

20th October 2012 is the last day.

Residents who want to a new ration card, please wait till November. Registrations would open soon.

Hi Folks,

It is great to see that within few days there have been close to 90 members for this group! Would like to thank all for spreading the information about this group.

It might be a good idea now to talk about how & why this group was created. What do you generally find when you read a newspaper or open a news website? Scams/Crime/Pollution & so on.... Obviously a lot of things that we don't really like to hear right? So what do we do about it? All these days most of us would have tried to share such information by posting things on our FB pages. But can we do more?

Apart from sharing info on our FB walls we, as a community, should try to do things based on all the information which is readily available around us. For instance, Ganesha Chaturti was recently held & all the websites spoke about using "eco-friendly" Ganesha idols. How many "eco-friendly" idols did you see? I saw none. So basically we were "eco-friendly" in spreading the message but were not "eco-friendly" in action.

Similarly most of us would have encountered some kind of corruption in our lives, it could be in the RTO, the sub-registrar's office or the BBMP. Somehow it seems we can't do anything about it.

But can we try to do something about these? Why not. We should try & may be some of the things can be fixed. For instance, we may not be able to immediately fix the corruption problem but at least for next year we could try to keep an "eco-friendly" Ganesha in our area :)

Also, we will be trying our level best to get all the basic details you would like to know about the area. For instance, whom to contact with regards to water problems, garbage collection, ration card, aadhar card etc etc.. We request all members to post the information you know about our area and surrounding, so that this group can be an informative group. As administrators of this group, we would filter your messages and then post the same in our group.
