The 7th Governing Body Meeting was successfully conducted at Government ITI Bheden on 17th of March in the chairmanship of the Sub-Collector, Bargarh where the DSDEO, WEO, the representative of Principal of all Govt. ITIs and Govt. Polytechnic of Bargarh Dist. were present. The meeting focused on reviewing the overall performance of the institution along with planning and ex*****on of various programs, drawl of action plan for expenditure and academics.
During the session, Shri Bikash Ranjan Darjee, Deputy Training Officer, presented a detailed overview of the institute’s achievements, key challenges and areas requiring further support. He highlighted the progress made in training outcomes, infrastructure development and student placements. He also addressed the existing gaps and constraints affecting optimal performance.
The discussion emphasized the need for continued administrative and technical support to strengthen institutional capacity and improve training quality. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the institute and provided valuable suggestions for future development and effective implementation of training programs.
The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all stakeholders to work collaboratively towards enhancing the performance and growth of Government ITI Bheden.

Today, an Orientation-cum-Induction Programme on the ITI Ecosystem was successfully organized at Govt. ITI, Bheden for the Headmasters of High Schools under Bheden Block, with the objective of creating awareness about the role of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in skill development and career pathways for students after secondary education.
The programme was held in the august presence of the Chief Guest, Block Development Officer (BDO), Bheden, the Guest of Honour, Block Education Officer (BEO), Bheden and the Principal of ITI Bheden, along with ITI staff members and Headmasters from various high schools of the block.
The programme commenced with a welcome address, followed by an overview of the ITI ecosystem, highlighting the importance of vocational education, trade-wise training facilities, admission procedures, Scholarship benefits, apprenticeship opportunities and employment prospects for ITI pass-out trainees. The session emphasized how ITIs serve as a vital link between school education and industry-oriented skill development.
The Chief Guest, BDO Bheden, in his address, stressed the need for close coordination between high schools and ITI to guide students toward skill-based career options. He encouraged Headmasters to actively counsel students, especially those inclined towards technical and vocational education, to consider ITI courses as a viable and rewarding career pathway.
The Principal of ITI elaborated on the infrastructure, trades offered, training methodology, industry linkage and placement support available at the ITI. She also invited Headmasters to visit the ITI campus (workshops & Labs) to gain first-hand exposure to the training environment.
The programme concluded with an interactive session where Headmasters shared their views and sought clarifications regarding admissions, student eligibility and collaboration between schools and ITI. The orientation programme proved to be informative and productive, fostering better coordination between secondary education institutions and Technical training systems under Bheden Block.

"Inauguration of On Job Training Program for Electrician Trainees of Govt. ITI, Bheden."
On 24th Nov. 2025, the OJT program was formally inaugurated as a part of the existing MoU with TPWODL for enhancing practical skills and providing industry exposure to the trainees.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. D. S. Mishra, Zonal Head, TPWODL, Bargarh as the Chief Guest. The Distinguished Guests present on the occasion were Mr. B. B. Satpathy, Executive Engineer, BED, Bargarh, Mr. A. Ray, Assistant Executive Engineer and Mr. A.K. NV, Team Lead (HR), TPWODL, Bargarh, Mrs. KK Nayak, Principal and Sri BR Darjee (Asst. Training Officer), Govt ITI, Bheden.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a welcome address by Mrs. K. K. Nayak, Principal, ITI Bheden, who highlighted the importance of industry-institute collaboration and the role of OJT in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skill.
In his address, Chief Guest Mr. D. S. Mishra emphasized the significance of safety, discipline and skill development in the power distribution sector. He encouraged the trainees to make the best use of the OJT to build a strong foundation for their professional careers. Other dignitaries also shared valuable insights on technical excellence & workplace ethics.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sri Bikash R. Darjee, Assistant Training Officer, Govt. ITI Bheden, acknowledging the support of TPWODL officials, faculty members and trainees for making the program a success. The inauguration marked a positive step towards strengthening practical training of Electrician trainees at Govt ITI, Bheden from 24-11-25 to 16-12-25.
