**🌐 World Animal Day 2025 - Barpeta district 🌐**
On October 4th 2025, World Animal Day 2025 was celebrated around the world. The idea behind the observation of this day is to promote animal rights, welfare and compassion amongst all. This year, on its 100th anniversary, the theme was “Save Animals, Save the Planet” which serves as a testament to the undeniable connection between animal protection and environmental conservation.
In this connection, the Animal Welfare Board of India called upon various stakeholders to observe the day in a befitting manner. Keeping that in mind, the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Barpeta has taken necessary steps for observation of World Animal Day 2025. Each dispensary of undivided Barpeta district has conducted events and programmes with the objective to promote animal rights and spread awareness amongst the general public regarding the various ways that they can contribute towards the welfare of animals and consequently the planet.
