🇮🇳 Cycle Rally under Har Ghar Tiranga

With the inspiring slogan “Har Ghar Tiranga”, a Cycle Rally was organised by Barrackpore Municipality to promote the spirit of patriotism, national unity, and pride in our Tricolour.

The Hon’ble MLA was also present on the occasion and joined the rally in the spirit of celebrating our national pride.

On 29th July, 2026, as part of the State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) initiative under "Organization of Activities during Independence Day Celebration, 2026 under PMAY-U/PMAY-U 2.0," Barrackpore Municipality successfully organized an Essay and Drawing Competition at the Municipal premises.

The programme was graced by the presence of Hon'ble MLA Shri Kaustav Bagchi, Financial Officer (FO), Nodal Officer, CLTC, Accountant, and other officials of Barrackpore Municipality.

The enthusiastic participation of the children made the event a memorable success.

গৃহায়ন ও নগর বিষয়ক মন্ত্রক (MoHUA), জল শক্তি মন্ত্রকের অধীন জল সম্পদ, নদী উন্নয়ন ও গঙ্গা পুনরুজ্জীবন বিভাগের (DoWR, RD&GR) সহযোগিতায়, ‘জল সঞ্চয় জন অংশীদারিত্ব’ (JSJB) নামক সামগ্রিক উদ্যোগের আওতায় ‘ক্যাচ দ্য রেইন’ (Catch the Rain) প্রচার অভিযানটি বাস্তবায়ন করছে। এই অভিযানের লক্ষ্য হলো বিভিন্ন পৌর সংস্থার (ULB) আওতাধীন এলাকায় বৃষ্টির জল সংরক্ষণ, ভূগর্ভস্থ জলস্তর পুনর্ভরণ (recharge), জলাশয়গুলির পুনরুজ্জীবন এবং জল সংরক্ষণের অন্যান্য পদক্ষেপগুলিকে উৎসাহিত ও ত্বরান্বিত করা।

এই উদ্যোগের অংশ হিসেবে, বারাকপুর পৌরসভা তার নিজস্ব এলাকায় জল সংরক্ষণ ও বৃষ্টির জল সংগ্রহের বিভিন্ন কার্যক্রমের মাধ্যমে এই অভিযান বাস্তবায়নে প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ। টেকসই জল সম্পদ ব্যবস্থাপনাকে শক্তিশালী করতে এবং ‘ক্যাচ দ্য রেইন’ অভিযানের উদ্দেশ্য পূরণে অবদান রাখতে পৌরসভা উপযুক্ত পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করবে; যার মধ্যে রয়েছে সচেতনতা কর্মসূচি, জলাশয়গুলির পুনরুজ্জীবন, বৃষ্টির জল সংগ্রহের উদ্যোগ, বৃক্ষরোপণ কর্মসূচি এবং জন-অংশীদারিত্বমূলক কার্যক্রম।
