Under , ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute, Barrackpore organised Farmers Scientist interaction on Science based integrated nutrient management and agriculture-aquatic ecosystem linkages for sustainable livelihoods. 45 participants including 30 farmers of various blocks of Patna district of Bihar and Scientists of ICAR-CIFRI.
Dr. Pradip Dey, Director in his interaction with farmers emphasized “Khet Bachao Abhiyan a national call to action that underscores the inseparable link between soil health, food security, rural prosperity, and ecological sustainability. Balanced fertilizer use, soil testing, Soil Health Cards, natural farming, water stewardship, and scientific nutrient management must work in synergy to rejuvenate soil vitality and sustain agricultural productivity. It is imperative to preserving livelihoods, ecosystems, and the long-term resilience of agriculture.”
