बयाना किला का इतिहास

बयाना किला, जिसे विजयगढ़ किले के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, राजस्थान के भरतपुर जिले में स्थित एक ऐतिहासिक दुर्ग है। यह किला अपनी प्राचीनता, स्थापत्य कला और रणनीतिक स्थिति के लिए प्रसिद्ध है।

किले का निर्माण और प्रारंभिक इतिहास

बयाना किले का निर्माण 11वीं शताब्दी में राजा विजयपाल ने करवाया था। यह किला अरावली पर्वत श्रृंखला की ऊँचाई पर स्थित है, जिससे यह दुश्मनों पर नजर रखने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण स्थल था।

दिल्ली सल्तनत और मुगल काल

13वीं शताब्दी में यह किला दिल्ली सल्तनत के अधीन आ गया।

महमूद गजनवी और कुतुबुद्दीन ऐबक ने भी इस क्षेत्र पर आक्रमण किए थे।

15वीं शताब्दी में लोदियों के शासनकाल में यह किला एक मजबूत किलेबंदी का केंद्र बना।

मुगल बादशाह बाबर ने 1526 में इब्राहिम लोदी को हराने के बाद इस किले को जीत लिया।

बाद में अकबर और जहाँगीर के शासनकाल में बयाना एक महत्वपूर्ण प्रशासनिक और सैनिक केंद्र बना रहा।

विशेषताएँ

बयाना किला रेड सैंडस्टोन (लाल बलुआ पत्थर) से बना हुआ है।

वर्तमान स्थिति
आज बयाना किला खंडहर में बदल चुका है, लेकिन इसके अवशेष इसके गौरवशाली अतीत की झलक देते हैं। यह किला भारतीय इतिहास और स्थापत्य कला की धरोहर के रूप में जाना जाता है।

Bayana Fort holds the distinction of being among the earliest surviving hill forts in not just Rajasthan, but all of North India. Historians believe its foundations were laid during the Gupta period, around the 3rd to 4th century CE, making it significantly older than many other celebrated forts like Chittorgarh or Amber.

During the Gupta era — often referred to as the Golden Age of India — Bayana emerged as an important administrative and military outpost, strategically located near the trade routes between Delhi and central India.
