Gandoh police seizes 750 grams of Charas, 01 person arrested.

Gandoh,23 may:

In order to make the society drug free,Doda police Continuing War On Drugs offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances,Gandoh police recovered Charas and Cash from smugglers.

Based on reliable information,police party led by Inspector Vikram Singh SHO PS Gandoh under the supervision of SSP Doda and SDPO Gandoh Shazada Kabir Matto, conducted raided in the house of Talib Hussain S/o Mohd Shafi Mir R/o Kako Dossa and recovered approx 750gm,of contraband substance Charas like substance alongwith weighting mechine and cash of 30K at Dossa village under the jurisdiction of PS Gandoh.

During preliminary inquiry it was found that accused Talib Hussain used to supply the Charas among Youth in small quantities using small weighing machine. Local people hailed the efforts of Police and requested police to take the stringent action against such people of the area.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 46/2021 registered U/S 8/20 NDPS Act at P/S Gandoh and further investigation is underway.

Warm farewell accorded to SDPO Gandoh

Members of the civil society and media fraternity of Gandoh (Bhalessa) organized impressive function here to bid warm farewell to outgoing SDPO Nawaz Khanday who has been transferred to the PC Baramulla .Apart from members of media fraternity senior officers including SP Headquarters Doda Master Popsy,SP Operations Doda Raj Kumar, SDM Gandoh , newly posted SDPO Shazada Kabir Matto, Mohd Ashrif Kolhi,Majid Ali Mir Bank Manager, SHO Gandoh Arun Kumar Sharma,senior Journalist Mohammed Saleem and many others also present on the occasion.

Addressing the programme, the Journalists and people of Bhalessa said it’s rare that media and public organising such farewell for officers but in case Mohd Nawaz Khanday relations between public and him were very strong which forced them to organize the farewell.They said that Nawaz strengthened relations between public and police department.They said that Nawaz strengthened relations between public and police department as also filled the gap which had been created in the past

The speakers lauded Nawaz services in Bhalessa to maintaining the communal harmony and brotherhood among the people and particularly in motivating the Bhalessa youths to keep themselves away from drugs.

Later, SP headquarters Popsy appreciated the cooperation imparted by the people of the area and appealed locals to keep cooperating with police in the similar way.

outgoing Sdpo Nawaz Khandey thanked the people for cooperation and support in his tenure and express gratitude to civil society for applauding his role.
