Today, we commemorate Manusmriti Dahan Diwas, a day of profound historical significance when Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, led the symbolic burning of the Manusmriti on December 25, 1927.
This act was a bold rejection of the Brahmanism that upheld caste-based oppression and denied millions their dignity and rights.

Let this day inspire us to challenge all forms of inequality and work towards a future rooted in justice and humanity.

following our public statements regarding manual scavenging's high mortality toll. Casteist insults were directed towards Dr. Dixit Bhimgarhe, the previous convenor of AISA Chhattisgarh. This time, we're not going to sit this one out; instead, we intend to pursue legal action.

Dr. Dixit is not just a patron for the organization but an inspiration too and we request everyone to show support and solidarity to comrade Dixit Bhimgarhe.

Further curbing academic freedom in universities, TISS Mumbai's suspension of Ramadas, a Dalit PhD student, rings a nationwide alarm over the increasingly unjust and undemocratic acts of university authorities. 
Student voices are largely being stifled in TISS Mumbai over flimsy charges such as labeling them "anti-national" and "hurting religious sentiments.". 
The decisions by the administration are unfair and excessive, while also giving the students no proper time to respond. Such acts are in violation of both the Constitution of India's Fundamental Rights and the Constitution of the TISS' Students Union, which grants students the right of protection from prejudiced academic evaluations based on the student's views, opinions, political associations, and organizational memberships.
The decision, in violation of UGC norms guaranteeing students the right to freedom of expression both within and outside the campus, was taken in a rushed manner without proper consultation and consideration.
AISA Chhattisgarh stands in unwavering solidarity with Ramadas Prini Sivanandan in defense of our right to freedom of expression and to cultivate and protect critical thinking on campuses nationwide.

हमें खुशी है कि दुर्ग - भिलाई में काफी लंबे समय से आम जनमानस, खास तौर पर छात्र वर्ग की मांग रही "सिटी बस सुविधा" अब मूर्त रूप लेती दिखाई दे रही है जिसके लिए ऑल इंडिया स्टूडेंट्स एसोसिएशन काफी समय से संघर्षरत था जिसके लिए हमने आदरणीय कलेक्टर महोदय के माध्यम से अपनी बात माननीय मुख्यमंत्री जी के नाम 29 जनवरी से लगातार ज्ञापन सौंपकर उक्त मांग तेज की एवं कलेक्टर महोदय व आरटीओ संचालक महोदय से समन्वय कर अपनी मांगों के प्रति उनकी स्वीकृति पाई।

दुर्ग- भिलाई की आम जनता की हर रोज की लड़ाई में उनके सहभागी बनने और सर्वहारा छात्रों के हितों की रक्षा में सदैव समर्पित रहने की प्रतिज्ञा के साथ.....

AISA Chhattisgarh has submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police, Durg on February 13, demanding strict action against right-wing groups and anti-social elements who harass citizens on Valentine's Day.

The memorandum cites citizens' constitutional rights and legal grounds that protect people from harassment by such vigilante groups, including Supreme Court decisions that set a precedent on citizens' rights.

We demanded strict police action against such anti-social groups and police patrolling of Civic Centre, Junwani Road, Maitri Garden, Maroda and other nearby areas to stop the targeting and harassment of young citizens by such groups.
We have made four key demands which are as follows:

1. Legal action should be taken against those who take law into their own hands in the name of moral policing.

2. Police-administration should ensure that there is no fear of anti-social elements among the public.

3. The constitutional and democratic rights of men and women must be guaranteed.

4. Better lighting and security arrangements should be made in public places and isolated places.

In a constitutional democracy like ours, right-wing extremist groups should have no right to take law in their own hands and harass citizens. The rights of citizens to wander and to spend time with their partner should be guaranteed and they should be protected from attacks by such anti-social right-wing conservative elements.
We must remember that a country is judged by the progressiveness and freedom of its citizens.
