The Bhopal Development Authority is implementing an E-Governance Scanning as part of its record digitization efforts. The process is being carried out in a phased manner over the last 10 months, commencing in June 2025.
So far, approximately 3.23 million+ pages have been scanned and digitized. Apart from this, 30k+ property files/records from the Planning, Technical, Legal, and Establishment have also been processed and added to the digital record system.
The work includes scanning and data organization to ensure records are systematically arranged and easily accessible. This has improved citizen services delivery by enabling faster file tracing, reducing processing time, increasing transparency, and minimizing physical file movement.
The digitized records are being used across sections through the ERP system for internal work, enabling quicker access to legecy files. Document scanning has further facilitated a smooth and efficient implementation of e-Office system at BDA.
