Blood Donation Camp Held at Gadakantunia; Devotional Bhajan ‘Asa He Niladri Nath’ Released
Bhubaneswar: A blood donation camp was organised at the office premises of Sudarshan Daru Pitha in Gadakantunia, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, jointly by Kanchan Foundation, Mission Raktadan and Arabinda Youth Social Charitable Trust, one of Odisha’s leading voluntary organisations.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, a strong enthusiasm for blood donation was witnessed among the youth. A total of 20 units of blood were collected during the camp. The blood was collected by the BMC Hospital Blood Bank.
On the occasion, the devotional Odia bhajan ‘Asa He Niladri Nath’, sponsored by Darpan Music and produced by young producer Srilip Pradhan, was officially released. Young social worker Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, along with Gopal Behera, Tapan Swain and Dinabandhu Bhoi, have acted in the bhajan.
Former Minister and senior BJP leader Dr. Arabinda Dhali attended the blood donation camp and bhajan release ceremony as the Chief Guest. Social worker Suresh Panda, Balipatna Press Club President Dilip Ojha, senior BJP leader Maguni Sethi, local Sarpanch Ramalata Nayak, Bankim Chandra Nayak, Somnath Swain, Dr. Rajani Ranjan Das, senior journalist Somnath Swain, BJP Balakati Mandal President Brahmananda Swain, Tapas Ranjan Mallick and Ranjan Mahapatra, among others, were present on the dais as guests of honour and encouraged the blood donors and artists.
The entire programme was smoothly conducted by Dinabandhu Bhoi as the anchor.
The innovative initiative by Kanchan Foundation, combining the noble cause of blood donation with the promotion of Odia devotional music and culture, has been widely appreciated by the people of the locality.
