सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (SDGs) पर सांख्यिकी और कार्यक्रम कार्यान्वयन मंत्रालय (MoSPI) द्वारा जारी नवीनतम प्रकाशन (29 जून 2026) के अनुसार, वर्ष 2025 में सामाजिक सुरक्षा लाभों के दायरे में आने वाली जनसंख्या का अनुपात बढ़कर 64.3% हो गया है, जो वर्ष 2016 में 22% था ।

प्रधानमंत्री श्रम योगी मानधन योजना के अंतर्गत असंगठित क्षेत्र के कामगारों को पेंशन का लाभ प्रदान किया जा रहा है। इस स्वैच्छिक और अंशदायी पेंशन योजना के माध्यम से 60 वर्ष की आयु प्राप्त करने पर वृद्धावस्था में ₹3,000 प्रति माह पेंशन का लाभ मिलेगा।
