The Integrated Development of Shri Lokanath Temple & Parbati Sagar in Puri is progressing towards completion.

The project brings together restoration of the temple complex, rejuvenation of Parbati Sagar, improved drainage, pathways, landscaping, pilgrim amenities and a dedicated parking area.

The development is designed to create a better ambience of spirituality while making the precinct more convenient and welcoming for pilgrims and visitors.

As the finishing stages take shape, a renewed experience around this revered Shaiva shrine is coming closer to reality.

🏗️ Strengthening Infrastructure Through Focused Project Monitoring

On 24.07.26, CE-I Shri Khirod Chandra Samal, CGM-III Shri Narasingha Mohanta and CGM Smt. Anujna Mohanty inspected the Maa Sarala Temple Development Project and reviewed the progress of the ongoing works.

The review focused on the timely handover of completed works to the Temple Administration, expediting landscaping activities and ensuring adequate manpower and resources for the early completion of the remaining works.

The team subsequently visited the ongoing construction site of the 2nd HL Bridge over the Kathajodi River to review the progress of construction activities and preparations for the next stages of ex*****on. The agency was directed to expedite compliance with observations on the GAD, finalise design and drawings, and ensure sequential submission of all drawings.

Preparatory activities for the girder casting yard, including camp setup, gantry installation and mix design works, are progressing towards the next phase of construction.

With continuous monitoring, coordinated efforts and focused ex*****on, OBCC remains committed to delivering quality infrastructure for Odisha. 🙏🏗️

Hon’ble Health Minister Reviews Progress of SCB Medical College & Hospital Redevelopment Project

On 21 July 2026, Hon’ble Minister, Health & Family Welfare, Odisha, Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, visited the ongoing redevelopment project at SCB Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack.

The Hon’ble Minister was accompanied by Shri Pravat Biswal, Hon’ble MLA, Choudwar-Cuttack; Shri Prakash Sethi, Hon’ble MLA, Cuttack Sadar; and Ms. Aswathy S., IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department.

Following the site visit, a review meeting was held at SCB Medical College & Hospital to assess the progress of the ongoing works. The Hon’ble Minister directed all concerned to ensure strict adherence to project timelines and maintain the highest standards of quality throughout ex*****on.

Senior officials of OB&CC and representatives of the executing agency were also present during the review meeting.

Strengthening Infrastructure Through Continuous Monitoring & Quality Assurance

Chief Engineer-I, Shri Kshirod Chandra Samal, conducted an extensive review of key infrastructure projects in Bhadrak and Kendrapara districts to assess progress, ensure quality, and reinforce timely ex*****on of ongoing works.

During the visit, CE-I inspected the proposed alignment of the Baitarani Bridge Project and reviewed the progress of the Kharasrota Bridge Project. Emphasis was placed on maintaining construction momentum, optimising work schedules during the monsoon period, and achieving planned project milestones.

Quality remained a key focus, with CE-I witnessing the 28-day concrete cube strength testing and directing the site team to carry out regular quality checks of aggregates and sand to ensure durable and sustainable infrastructure.

The visit also included a review of the Aul Football Project, where ongoing works were assessed and the executing agency was advised to enhance deployment of resources and maintain the pace of ex*****on to achieve timely completion.

Through regular field inspections and close monitoring, OB&CC remains committed to delivering safe, durable, and high-quality infrastructure that contributes to Odisha's growth and development.
