The Rural Development Department of Government of Odisha is in charge of Construction and Maintenance of Govt. Buildings and Rural Connectivity. Department.

Buildings and provide Connectivity (roads/bridges/culverts) in rural areas of Odisha under different schemes. The Rural Development Department of The Government of Odisha is in charge of Rural Govt. The Rural Works organization implements rural connectivity programme. Roads/bridges are being constructed under different schemes like NABARD assistance under RIDF, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PM

GSY), RLTAP for KBK districts and Constituency-wise Allotment (CWA). This organization also looks after the maintenance and upkeepment of public buildings in rural areas borne under the books of R.D. This organisation is also doing construction activities of other deparments on request. Besides implementing the schemes and programmes in general, RW organization provides emergency support service during natural calamities.

ଆଜି ସାରା ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ "ଏକ୍ ପେଡ଼୍ ମା'କେ ନାମ୍ -2.0" କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଗ୍ରାମ୍ୟ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ବିଭାଗ, ଓଡିଶା ର ସମସ୍ତ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟରେ ଚାରା ରୋପଣ ହୋଇଛି, ଯାହା ମା'ଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଆଦର ଓ ପରିବେଶ ପ୍ରତି ଦାୟିତ୍ୱବୋଧ ଜଣାଉଛି ।

ଜନ୍ମଦାତ୍ରୀ ମା' ପ୍ରତି ସ୍ନେହ, ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧା ଓ ଭଲପାଇବା ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରିବା ସହିତ ଧରିତ୍ରୀ ମା'ର ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ମାନନୀୟ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ଜୀ "ଏକ୍ ପେଡ୍ ମା’ କେ ନାମ୍" ଅଭିଯାନର ପରିକଳ୍ପନା କରିଥିଲେ। ଗତବର୍ଷ ଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଥିବା ଏହି ଅଭିଯାନ ଆଜି ଏକ ଜନ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନରେ ପରିଣତ ହୋଇଛି।
ଏହି ଅଭିଯାନର ଦ୍ଵିତୀୟ ସଂସ୍କରଣରେ ଚଳିତ ବର୍ଷ ରାଜ୍ୟବ୍ୟାପୀ ମୋଟ ୭.୫ କୋଟି ବୃକ୍ଷରୋପଣର ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରଖାଯାଇଛି। ଏହାର ଅଂଶ ଭାବେ ୧୭ ସେପ୍ଟେମ୍ବର ୨୦୨୫, ମୋଦୀଜୀଙ୍କ ଜନ୍ମଦିନ ଅବସରରେ ସମଗ୍ର ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ୭୫ ଲକ୍ଷ ଚାରାରୋପଣ କରାଯିବା ନେଇ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରଖାଯାଇଛି। ପରିବେଶ ସୁରକ୍ଷା, ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ପବନ ଓ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଜୀବନ ପାଇଁ ଗଛର ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ। ଗଛ ହେଉଛି ଆମର ପ୍ରାଣ, ଆମର ସହଚର, ଆମର ସମ୍ପଦ। ଆଗାମୀ ପିଢ଼ିକୁ ଏକ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଓ ଶୁଦ୍ଧ ପରିବେଶ ଦେବା ଆମର ଦାୟିତ୍ୱ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ ସମସ୍ତେ ଗଛଟିଏ ଲଗାଇ, ଧରିତ୍ରୀ ମା’ର ପ୍ରକୃତ ସେବା କରିବା ଏବଂ ଏକ ସୁସ୍ଥ ଓ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ସ୍ୱପ୍ନକୁ ସାର୍ଥକ କରିବା।

ଗ୍ରାମ୍ଯ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ବିଭାଗ କମିଶନର-ତଥା-ଶାସନ ସଚିବ ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ୟାମିନୀ ଷଢ଼ଙ୍ଗୀ, ଆଇଏଏସ୍ , ବିଭାଗର ବିଭିନ୍ନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ର ସମିକ୍ଷା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଉକ୍ତ ବୈଠକରେ ବିଭାଗର ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସହିତ କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ ।

ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ମୋହନ ଚରଣ ମାଝୀ ଆଜି ଲୋକସେବା ଭବନରେ ଗ୍ରାମ୍ୟ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ବିଭାଗର ବିଭିନ୍ନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ସମ୍ପର୍କରେ ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ବୈଠକରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଥିଲେ ଯେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସଡକ ଓ ସେତୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ ଜରିଆରେ ରାଜ୍ୟର ସମସ୍ତ ଗ୍ରାମାଞ୍ଚଳକୁ ସବୁଦିନିଆ ରାସ୍ତା ସଂଯୋଗୀ କରଣର ଗୁରୁଦାୟିତ୍ୱ ଏହି ବିଭାଗ ଉପରେ ନ୍ୟସ୍ତ ରହିଛି। ୫ ବର୍ଷ ଭିତରେ ୩୦ ହଜାର କିଲୋମିଟର ରାସ୍ତା ଓ ୫୦୦ ସେତୁ ନିର୍ମାଣ ପାଇଁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଧାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ରହିଛି। ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍କିମ୍ ଓ ବଜେଟ୍‌ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ବିଭାଗକୁ ମିଳୁଥିବା ଅର୍ଥରାଶିର ଶତପ୍ରତିଶତ ଉପଯୋଗ କରି ରାଜ୍ୟବାସୀଙ୍କୁ ଉନ୍ନତ ମାନର ଗମନା ଗମନ ସୁବିଧା ଯୋଗାଇ ଦେବା ଉପରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ବୈଠକରେ ଗ୍ରାମ୍ୟ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ତଥା ପଞ୍ଚାୟତି ରାଜ ଏବଂ ପାନୀୟ ଜଳ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ରବିନାରାୟଣ ନାଏକ, ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଶାସନ ସଚିବ ଶ୍ରୀ ଶାଶ୍ୱତ ମିଶ୍ର, ବିଭାଗୀୟ କମିଶନର ତଥା ଶାସନ ସଚିବ ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ୟାମିନୀ ଷଡଙ୍ଗୀ ଏବଂ ବିଭାଗୀୟ ବରିଷ୍ଠ ଅଧିକାରୀ ମାନେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ।

ଗ୍ରାମ୍ୟ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ବିଭାଗ ମାନ୍ୟବର ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ରବିନାରାୟଣ ନାଏକଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟସ୍ତରୀୟ ସମୀକ୍ଷା ବୈଠକ। ଗ୍ରାମ୍ୟ ଉନ୍ନୟନ ବିଭାଗର ଏହି ରାଜ୍ୟସ୍ତରୀୟ ସମୀକ୍ଷା ବୈଠକରେ ବିଭାଗ ଦ୍ବାରା କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ସମସ୍ତ ଯୋଜନାର ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରାଯାଇଥିଲା l ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସଡ଼କ ଯୋଜନା ଅଧୀନରେ ୫୨୧ଟି ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପରେ ନିର୍ମାଣ ହେବାକୁଥିବା ୫୦୦୦ କିମି ରାସ୍ତା, ସେତୁ ବନ୍ଧନ ଯୋଜନାରେ ୪୦୦ ସେତୁ ଓ ୨୫୩ଟି କୋଠାର ନିର୍ମାଣ ଅଗ୍ରଗତି ବିଷୟରେ ସବିଶେଷ ସମୀକ୍ଷା କରି ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ସନ୍ତୋଷ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଥିଲେ l ପ୍ରତିଟି ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ନିର୍ମାଣରେ ଉତ୍ତରଦାୟିତ୍ବ ସ୍ଥିର କରିବାକୁ ମାନ୍ୟବର ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ l ଏହି ବୈଠକରେ ବିଭାଗୀୟ ଆୟୁକ୍ତ ତଥା ଶାସନ ସଚିବ ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ୟାମିନୀ ଷଡଙ୍ଗୀ ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ଯ ଅଧିକାରୀମାନେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ଥିଲେ।
