The District Outreach Programme at the vibrant NIST University campus in Brahmapur, Ganjam, brought together brilliant minds to drive innovation and entrepreneurship across the state!

Two insightful panel discussions took centre stage: the first explored "The Next Wave of Manufacturing Startup Growth in Odisha," moderated by Dr. Sushanta Kumar Sahu, NIST University, with Ms. Purabee Purnasha Mishra, COO, STPI Bhubaneswar, and Dr. Akshaya K. Palai, CIPET, and Shri Priyanshu Patnaik, AIO, DIC, Ganjam, as panellists. The second focused on "ANRF as a Catalyst for Research-to-Market," moderated by Dr. Jyostnarani Jena, featuring Dr. Bijay Kumar Sahu, NRDC, Ms. Purabee Purnasha Mishra, COO, STPI Bhubaneswar and Shri Omkarnath Rath, Former COO, Startup Assam and VP-EY.

Both sessions highlighted the critical role of policy, innovation, and ecosystem collaboration in propelling Odisha's startups toward a future of manufacturing excellence and research commercialisation.

Startup Odisha successfully hosted the District Outreach Programme at the vibrant NIST University campus in Brahmapur, bringing together brilliant minds to drive innovation and entrepreneurship across the state!

The technical sessions featured insightful contributions from our esteemed experts: Dr. Bijay Kumar Sahu, Sr. Regional Manager, NRDC, Govt. of India, emphasized the importance of IP and patents in safeguarding innovations; Ms. Purabee Purnasha Mishra, COO, STPI, spoke about deep tech opportunities and GENESIS, a MeitY scheme implemented through STPI to discover and support tech startups across India, especially in Tier-II/III cities; and Dr. Akshaya K. Palai, Jr. Scientist, CIPET: SARP-LARPM, explored the immense potential of the circular economy, encouraging startups to turn sustainability challenges into business opportunities.

The enthusiasm and curiosity displayed by the young innovators were truly inspiring! Together, let us all pave the way for a vibrant startup landscape in Odisha!

Startup Odisha successfully hosted the District Outreach Programme today at the vibrant NIST University campus in Brahmapur!

The event was inaugurated by Shri Gokulananda Mallick, Honourable Minister, MSME and FARD Department, Government of Odisha, who officially opened the startup exhibition and spent time visiting the various innovation stalls. His presence and encouragement inspired our young entrepreneurs to aim even higher.

It was a wonderful opportunity to witness the energy, creativity, and groundbreaking ideas of Odisha's budding innovators. Their prototypes and projects reflect the immense potential that exists across our state.
