IRCS–Odisha State Branch is stepping up its efforts to support flood-affected districts.
Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, flagged off relief materials from Lok Bhavan for the flood-affected districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jajpur.
The relief supplies include tarpaulins and nutritious dry food packets to support affected families. Youth Red Cross volunteers actively participated in the relief activities, reinforcing the spirit of humanitarian service.

A productive session on "Climate Charter and Heat Action" was jointly organised by AIDMI and Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch to strengthen preparedness against extreme heat.
The session focused on forecast-based early action, volunteer safety, protection of vulnerable communities, heat-risk awareness, coordination with government agencies, and sustainable practices to build climate resilience for Summer 2027.
Together, we are strengthening communities to face the challenges of a changing climate. 🤝🌱

The Hon'ble Governor of Odisha and President of the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch, inaugurated the National Service Camp at Town Hall, Puri, on 15th July 2026 on the eve of Car Festival–2026, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, Red Cross Officials, Volunteers, and Life Members of IRCS-OSB. The camp has been organized to provide essential humanitarian services, including first aid, emergency medical assistance, lost-and-found support, drinking water, and other welfare services for the millions of devotees attending the world-famous Ratha Yatra.

The Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch organized a Plantation Programme on 01.07.2026 at Red Cross Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, to mark the commencement of Van Mahotsav–2026. The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting environmental conservation, increasing green cover, and creating awareness about the importance of tree plantation among YRC & JRC Volunteers, and staffs.
Van Mahotsav–2026 is being observed nationwide from 1st July to 7th July 2026.On this occasion, saplings were planted in the premises of Red Cross Bhavan by the dignitaries, officers, staff members, and volunteers of the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch.
The programme concluded with a message emphasizing the collective responsibility of protecting nature and preserving the environment for future generations.

🩸 World Blood Donor Day 2026 celebrated at Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch (IRCS-OSB), Red Cross Bhavan, Bhubaneswar.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of Voluntary Blood Donors,VBD Camp organizers,Life Members and officials. An Awareness Meeting and Blood Donation Camp were organized to promote the noble cause of Voluntary Blood Donation. Donors and organizers were felicitated for their invaluable contribution to saving lives.

Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch, in collaboration with LEPRA Mankind, distributed MCR Footwear and Self-care Medical Kits to Leprosy Patients across five Blocks of Rairangpur Region, Mayurbhanj.
More than 50 beneficiaries were supported through this humanitarian initiative aimed at promoting dignity, care, and social inclusion for marginalized communities.IRCS-Odisha State Branch provided the financial support for the entire Programme including cost of Footwear.

The Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch celebrated with great enthusiasm based on the theme “United in Humanity.”
Floral tributes were paid to Sir Jean Henry Dunant followed by inauguration of ‘Jala Chhatra’, Voluntary Blood Donation Camp and distribution of nutrition food, study materials and daily consumables to inmates of orphanages and old age homes in Kandhamal,Bolangir, Cuttack and Khordha Districts.
The celebration reaffirmed our commitment towards humanity, compassion and voluntary service.
