Roti ,KapdaaurMakaan - As we know are the three basic requirements for a person to survive.
Assam has been devoid of these amenities by mother nature due to floods..
All the people and government of Assam worked hand in hand in arranging Reliefs in various forms for their people who are struggling for life due to floods..
Assam A State of our Own Country , Whatever problems they suffer , its a nation’s problem..
Assam Floods didn’t had the required media coverage so that the whole of nation could stand together for them and as floods hit mumbai , Whole of the headlines of prominent newspaper gets filled with the news.WE ALL NEED TO STAND TOGETHER FOR AND WITH OUR SEVEN SISTER STATES OF NORTH EAST INCLUDING ASSAM.The Beauty , The Rich Culture Heritage , People’s love and respect for their Culture can only be found in the North eastern states , elsewhere westernisation has taken the country by storm.
Anyways , KIIT University - A Place full of Opportunities where a student develops its social cultural skills just because of the ambience and methodology of working of a University.
We have People , Resources , Ideas etc..Its Just that We need a Platform to use them and help people of our country.
With This in mind , Art Of Giving , NSS and Social Responsibility Cell of our university came together and made a plan to collect Clothes from our Students and Faculties and send it to ASSAM Flood Relief.The Plan started executing on 10th of August And by the end of the month we collected more than 1000 pieces of old clothes but in a very decent and usable condition from students and faculties of various disciplines and Schools like Engineering , Medical , Dental ,Biotechnology , Management , Law etc

Our university Students had friends at Assam which made this work easier.Hence the work was now divided - KIIT will bring along the Collected clothes to Guwahati from Bhubaneswar.At Assam our friends will look for a flood affected village and inform them about our Arrival Also arrange for required Vehicle for transportation.Also A Social Service Enthusiast named Rizwan T A from CUSAT ,Kerela joined this Initiative hence travelled all the way to Assam from Kerela for this work.

KIIT collabaorated to conduct a free dental checkup at the Kalinga Institute Of Dental Sciences for the underpeivileged children of RAWA ACADEMY . It was a privilege working with students of KIDS and was a overwhleming experience too. We are looking forwaed to organising more of these events.
