ISD, established in 1997, was emerged with a deep conviction to empower women through economic empowerment. Today’s overall focus is on advocacy, research, training, economic rehabilitation, legal aid as per need emerged. ISD is an advocacy organization working exclusively in the area of women development and more specifically for women victims of domestic violence and with the survivors of traff

icking. ISD imparts training to community based NGOs for capacity building and their staff for long term development. It also give training to the lawyers associated with us as well as the survivors from time to time for their personal growth. In this regard ISD has attempted to provide training to Protection Officers and Service Providers appointed under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act in various phases to make the law work for victims of violence.
