A special camp is being organised for the disbursement of pending land compensation towards damages arising from the Right of Way for transmission lines in Village Amona.

⏰ Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Concerned landowners, occupants, tenants, legal heirs and other interested parties are requested to attend with valid identity proof, ownership/occupancy documents and other relevant records.

Eligible beneficiaries are urged to avail themselves of this opportunity for the prompt processing and disbursement of compensation.

Government Services at Your Doorstep | Jan Kalyan Shibir, Sankhali

Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on 25/06/2026 inaugurated and addressed the Jan Kalyan Shibir at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali, encouraging citizens to actively benefit from the Government’s welfare initiatives.

The Shibir witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 300 citizens availing services through dedicated Government counters, bringing welfare schemes and public services closer to the people.

The programme was attended by Shri Vijay B. Saxena, Director, Planning, Statistics & Evaluation, Shri Pundalik Khorjuvekar, Additional Collector-III, along with Sarpanchs, Panchs, Zilla Panchayat Members, Councillors and other dignitaries.

A review meeting was convened at the Office of the Deputy Collector & SDM, Bicholim, on 01/06/2026, with concerned departments to streamline scrutiny and expedite disposal of applications pertaining to regularisation of dwelling houses on Government land and unauthorised constructions, in accordance with the prescribed SOP and legal provisions.

Inter-departmental coordination and timely processing were emphasised to ensure efficient implementation of the scheme for eligible beneficiaries.

Facilitation Camp for Surla Compensation Claims

A facilitation camp will be organised by the Office of the Deputy Collector & SDM, Bicholim, acting as Court Commissioner in Writ Petition No. 443 of 2004, for affected farmers/occupants/owners/legal heirs/successors of Village Surla.

📍 Venue: Government High School, Surla
📅 Dates: 20th to 22nd May 2026
⏰ Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Beneficiaries in respect of nearly 300 survey sub-divisions may submit their claims during the camp, subject to verification and due procedure.

Concerned claimants are requested to first check their entitlement in the list made available at Village Panchayat Surla and attend the camp with original documents and self-attested copies.

The format of the Indemnity Bond/common Indemnity Bond is also available at Village Panchayat Surla.

This facilitation camp is an important step towards ensuring that long-pending compensation reaches the rightful claimants.

Field inspection was conducted by the Charge Census Officer, Bicholim Urban Charge, along with the representative of the Directorate of Census Operations, Nodal Officer, Bicholim Taluka, and concerned Supervisors to review the ongoing House Listing phase of Census 2027.

Bicholim Urban Charge is nearing 100% completion, reflecting the coordinated efforts of Enumerators, Supervisors, and field officials towards accurate and timely completion of the Census exercise.

Pre-Monsoon Preparedness & Public Safety Coordination Meeting was convened at the Office of the Deputy Collector & SDO, Bicholim, to review disaster mitigation measures and departmental action plans for the upcoming monsoon season.

Key directions were issued regarding identification of dangerous trees, clearance of roadside bushes, preparedness of rescue shelters, availability of essential commodities, transport arrangements for evacuation, and coordination among line departments for timely response and public safety.

Together, we remain committed to ensuring a safe and prepared Bicholim Taluka during the monsoon.
